You're gonna want to use a bigger rod, they get huge in the sumas. Heavy weights 2oz to 4oz, short straight braid hair rigs. I use as short as 2" leaders with a knotless hair rig. As soon as they feel the weight they hook themselves and take off, can easily pull your rod in. A baitfeeder reel is best, or loosen your drag alot. Btw did those have barbels? They almost look like crucian carp.

Looks like there's a lot of cookie cutter carp. I caught in there one once, and it it was the exact same size as these. Did you get rid of the Tacoma?
My first time there targeting them. I’ve seen really big ones get caught there. Technically I did get rid of it. Was in an accident!
