Do this with HK Blöö
1. Take off the skin
2. Make about 5 five cuts per sausage
3. Put cheese slices in the cuts
4. Put it in a hot oven
5. Eat with your choice of potatoes(i recommend smash)
Wouuu
Sininen lenkki has a "weird smooth taste" because it's more flour than meat. The most famous "vegetable" of Finland! X-D

But what a veggie it is. Yum yum yummie. 🤘
only vegetable that grows in here north is reindeer
Sininen lenkki is for uunimakkara not for grill
Or saunamakkara
LOL LIKE IF YOU DONT HAVE SOCKS this^^
That's true
Or for makkara kastike. Sausage Sauce with black pepper the sininen lenkki is the best. And the habanero makkara is nothing. The best is wilhelm chlili-sulatejuusto. Its has more hot flavor but not to much. Just be cauntius of the chess becouse it get hot inside.
Or on a wood fire, cut in big slices and put on a stick like a marshmallow..
On a wood sauna it's good too packed up inside an
aluminum paper
Sininen lenkki is awesome when you take plastic Cover off, cut some holes In it and put sliced Cheese In those. Then at owen with 150°c like 45mins to 1 Hour and you Will have perfect food for after sauna parties... Ofc some lager with it 😉
Whoever this Owen is, I don't think he's done anything so bad he deserves to be heated to 150°c. Just leave those kind of mild temperatures to Finnish kids for sauna practice.
James Bernadette Ment oven ofc... Thank you for pointing that out👍
Yea, 'tis just my kind of dry humour ^^'
Pure class, well done.
Meillä on aina sillee
You are supposed to eat the grain makkara with lingonberry jam
..and you're not supposed to put ketchup on any of them :P
I was just about to comment the same thing! Lingonberry Jam, not mustard.
Hear hear, no ketchup! Only kids do ketchup with sausages! It is mustard only. Except for grain-sausage, look other comments.
pretty sure he can eat them however he likes them best...
Kivikylän ryynimakkara works great with mustard.
My alltime favourite is Wilhelm Chili-Sulatejuusto. Also if you find Tapolan Aurella, it has some damn good bluecheese flavour.. 🙏🏻
Oh YES this!! Wilhelm Chili-sulatejuusto ❤️
Yes, agreed! Chili-sulatejuusto 👌🏼
Yes! That's the best! 😍
The best makkara ever! 🌶
Tapola Aurella is really good
Sininen Lenkki is NOT for grilling its used usually to make sausage soup or owen sausage or with some bread
The best normal traditional Finnish sausage has to be huiluntuhti. If you like the taste of low quality sausages it won't be for you but otherwise try it
Wilhelm Chili-sulatejuusto. It has the kick (a little more than the Kabanossi Habanero has) and it has cheese... I mean it's match made in heaven.
Arkkis Helsinki wursti Naga morich if you want a kick.
Its the worst sausage
Wilhelm Chili-sulatejuusto , That`s my ultimate favourite makkara all time , you have to try it !
Doesn't have Huiluntuhti by Kivikylä? Then it really isn't makkara test imo.
couldn't agree more
* Hulluntuhti
If you like spicy makkara, then you should try ”HK Kabanossi Karski Juusto Jalapeno”. Its so dmn good, definitely my favourite makkara. There are 6makkara in the pack, they are much smaller than the regular makkara.
Hi Dave, you should try Wilhelms chili-sulatejuusto sausage! It's not as hot as habanero but with cheese I think it's perfect makkara.
Samaa mieltä! Vaikka en yleensä tulisesta tykkää, niin siinä on kyllä sen verran makua että on uhrauksen arvoinen.
You have the best job in the world. XD
Fella, if you think filming yourself eating crap "sausages" is the best job in the world you clearly need to get out more :)
Mitä helvettiä Roni...
Ai no moi vaa sullekki Roni Bäkki :D
Very Finnish Problems ekkö muka itte söisi makkarraa työksesi? :O
En söisi
Kivikylän Huiluntuhti!! The best kind of makkara you can get!
You did not have the best of the best. Huiluntuhti makkara. So good!
This is true!
You must try Kivikylän Huiluntuhti and Juustotuhti makkara. Huiluntuhti is best original makkara in Finland and Juustotuhti is best makkara in the world! Its good and cheesy with flavourfull taste.
When you said: "And here I am sitting in this.. eating makkara and this is my job.." I thought: "And here I am watching you eating and rating Finnish makkaras eventhough I do not even like makkara at all.." Just nice to listen to you speaking English in the middle of the Finnish nature.. :)
Stop! You've violated the law! *Punch*
Dear god! Sininen lenkki is in a plastic casing, you cannot eat, let alone grill it! Remove it from the casing and prepare however, but you cannot eat the plastic.
Wilhelm juusto ja chili makkara is the best
Todellakin!
Next time try kivikylän huiluntuhti and snellmans beefmakkara
Many people have already suggested Hulluntuhti by Kivikylä, which is good, but their juustomakkara, called Juustotuhti, is really good! My favorite juustomakkara
Summer might be over but grilling season is on 24/7 around the year...
24/365
As others have posted, sininen lenkki goes in the oven with some cheese and I like to put some tomato wedges in it as well. However, a real finn wraps it in aluminium foil and cooks it directly on the sauna stove while he is bathing. After the sauna session you open the package and enjoy your dinner!
Kivikylän Huilun Tuhti is one of my favorite
Snellman Chipotle Eetvartti has a good chili flavor, that is what I mostly buy. Also try Savuhovi Tuska (Pain), it is more hot but nothing extreme. Savuhovi used to have products like Viha (Wrath), Isoviha (Great Wrath) and Raivo (Rage). They were something else, Tuska is for babies compared to those guys.
When are you going to try Finnish beers?!
Kasper Joonatan There are many videos about testing alcohol on dave's Channel. They Includes beer as well. Just look up from the older videos.
I remember him tasting "weird" alcohols, but not beers, at least not the good ones.
Kaks suomalaist puhuu englantii toisille näin
Kasper Joonatan ruclips.net/video/1UzHr2rKOhk/видео.html there was some olvi beers but you are right.. He tries mostly bad stuff In these videos...
Kasper Joonatan he alredy has
Sininen Lenkki certainly gets smushy on open fire. It is generally recommended for oven. Some people cut some notches on it and put slices of cheese in. It's a bland bulk sausage from the old times. Still an important part of Finnish tradition though. Kabanossi Rio Picante has been my go-to for the last few years.
Karski-sausages are really good, you have to try one of them!!🤤
sininen lenkki is the best vegetable. try snelmann 78% lenkimakkara its the best of them. btw lennkkimakkara goes to oven not to grill XD.
Fetajuusto-mustapippuri! You have to try it. Fetacheese-blackpepper sausage. I absolutely love it. The chilisulatejuusto is also very good.
Huiluntuhti Best makkara in the world, you should try it, and make thin slashes on the skin 1cm spaces before grilling it.
The "Sininen lenkki" is great when you peel off the skin, make a cut in it, and fill it with tomatoes and cheese. Then put it in the oven. I recommend trying it out some day.
My ultimate favorite is Kabanossi's juusto-jalapeno one. They're like half the length of a normal makkara and there's 5? 6? makkara's per pack. I'm not a fan of spicy stuff, so that stuff absolutely burns my mouth. But I love it. I think they have another mini makkara packet too, should look for that too. Last summer the only place where I was able to find them was my local Citymarket here in Helsinki.
Steamed Käriste from some gas station or grill, or boil them yourself. Maybe it's just me, but sometimes couple of those with Turun sinappi is the best thing you can have or remember having.
You know Dave, You are my absolut favorite foreigner to taste Finnish ...well anything as You really eat the food and drink the beverages even if you don´t like them at first bite or mouthful, You really give it a chance that You might grow into likeing even the weirdest things. Kudos!!
I think that Wilhelm Chili Sulatejuusto is probably the best stand-alone grillimakkara (even though I don't usually like chili stuff), although I have never tasted the Valkosipuli-Sinihomejuustomakkara (which I definitely will now).
Hi Dave! My favourite sausage is kabanossi savupekoni (smokey Bacon) You should do hk sininen lenkki In oven with cuts that have Koskenlaskija cheese and beer after sauna
It's never the end of the grill season in Finland. We have a hot grill outside even at new years when it is -20C to -30C.
Tried Kabanossi Rio Picante (with garlic and chilli) couple of weeks ago, was really good! There is also several types of "raakamakkara", you should try them too!
I recommend Atria Wilhelm Kukko Gouda. Chicken sausage with cheese. Vry nice texture and flavour.
You definitely need to try ”HK Maakarit” sausages, they are finnish versions of sausages from all over the world
Kivikylän Juustotuhti is a unbeliveably tasty juustomakkara. That's one that you should really try😁
PUNAINEN lenkki is THE BEST. Slice it on top of Ruis puikula, with sinappi 😍♥️♥️♥️♥️
Dave, you did THE most Finnished thing there! You cannot leave it in 1 video! You have to make makkaran tasting serie (season 1)!
Hey dave i just wanted to tell that all of my family like to watch your videos. We all are sooooo happy that you make these videos and we all just love your videos, thank you Dave you made my day again ❤️
Please try chili-sulatejuusto makkara on another video
The best.
If you want to try "sininen lenkki" in right way follow this: Heat up the wooden sauna in 80'celcius (atleast). Open Makkara package and remove skin from "sininen lenkki". Put that baby's leg to foil and put it top of "kiuas" in sauna. Let it sit there for atleast 15minutes (usually you go into sauna with it). When your done with with sauna take that "Sininen lenkki" with you (watchout, its hot) and eat it while your chilling on outside. Remember to drink atleast one beer with and put lots of mustarts with it. That's the typical finnish way to eat that sausage.
Huberin Huilu, by HK Maakarit, Jalapeno and cheddar with high meat%, it is very very tasty. Can't go wrong with Kabanossi Habanero though, it is my long time favourite!
Sininen lenkki is also traditionally used for Sausage soup aka Makkarakeitto.
Hi dave, i would love to see a long video on the subject of you comparing english and finnish trad food, with lots of insight and finnish bias. Cheers!
Try Sininen lenkki wrapped in bacon. That was a preferd grilling season treat few years ago.
Hey Dave! Next year you should try this makkara: Atria Wilhelm Feta-Mustapippuri - Its by far the best makkara I've ever tasted!
The drone shot shows the Finnish Dream. A private getaway by a lake or by the coast, where you can be yourself, alone, in peace.
My 5/5 makkara is Bratwurst. It has a nice texture and mixture of spices.
Snelmann's Eetvartti is the best one if we're going for not flavoured sausage.
Best flavoured one is Savupekoni by Kabanossi(HK).
And for a cheese sausage, Juusto Eetvartti.
But that's just my opinions.
I love that he wrote everything else on english but he wrote sausage in finnish
You're not supposed to grill HK:n sininen... It's either pan fried (slices), oven baked (with or without cheese on top) OR the BEST option is to eat it cold straight from the fridge - plain or on top of rye bread.
You must taste Snellman Eetvartti Chipotle and Wilhelm "CHILI-SULATEJUUSTO"..second one is your finding 5/5 sausage!
Wilhelm chili-sulatejuusto is the way to go 😍
I've been loving the seitsemän chilin makkara by Harjun makkaratehdas. Apparently they grind the chilis with different coarseness levels so each flavour hits you at different times. You should do a video on tuoremakkara. They have less preservatives and are usually more "artisanal"
You should come back to Åland next year and try some of the sausages from Dahlmans, ours local slaughterhouse, special the 'wienerkorv', that one is heavenly!
It's quite different to these makkara since it's completely raw but Saarioinen's Grilliwurst Chorizo is easily my favourite one.
I tried the pekoni Wilhelmi (or was it Kabanossi) while in Finland and it was awesome. Not about makkara but I just saw an add about Harmaa Pantteri which is a chili salmiakki. Surely you are trying that (I won't be in Finland before Christmas and need to wait).
I love the view behind you!!
Try the Kabanossi Savupekoni one. Perfect! 👌🏻
Try Huiluntuhti and chili sulatejuusto .... In finland we alkohol perskeles!
Haha i just cracked laughing at the "Professional RUclipsr" bit, love it xD
Wilhelm Cheesy Nacho makkara is great Makkara! You should also try Snellman Chipotle makkara
Don't grill on direct fire, wait 'till you get ember(?). Don't grill HK Sininen, as other have mentioned. My favourite is Saarioinen Grillwurst Original raw sausage.
wilhelm makkara is my favorite as well
Aww you didn't pick the Wilhelm Chili Sulatejuusto makkara i mentioned. That is my new number 1 from this summer. It has some chili kick and the sulatejuusto makes it VERY juicy.
Katalonian Carlos is definetly one of my favorites, and might be little bit more influenced from choriso than normal finnish makkara, but should try it if possible
näkkileipä + voimariini + sininen lenkki kylmänä ja siivutettuna + vihreä auran sinappi = Gourmet Leipä (remove the ”skin” of the sininen lenkki)
I'm hungry now :D
If you like spicy then there is grillimakkara called Savuhovi Tuska. Also you talk about "Original" (by which you probably mean Original Kabanossi or Wilhem), but those high meat content sausages became popular around 2000, so if you wan't to know what makkara tasted like when people your age where kids try HK Camping.
You HAVE to taste " Atria Wilhelm Pepperoni-salami Grillimakkara " THAT just became my favourite sausage of all time ! And the sausage is suppose to be eaten BARBARICALLY with your bare hands like a savage Viking !
You should try Savuhovi's "Tuska" or "Auranen" (bluecheese). Auranen includes 10% "Valio Aura" and almost everything else is meat. Tuska is quite hot, but not too much. They also had "Isoviha" which was even hotter, but I think that one is discontinued. You should be able to find them from bigger markets, if not, you need to come visit Kerava - their factory and shop is here :-)
For me Helsinkiwurst is the best Makkara, worth to try if you find it in market.
Best makkara in my opinion is the Salami/cheddar. It's so good!
Sininen lenkki should be eaten cold. Put thin slices of it on rye bread (Reissumies or Ruispalat) and that's it. :)
I’m still going to grill in the winter 😅 we have gas grill so it works when is cold outside.
I truly recommend Wilhelm's Feta-Mustapippuri sausage, best sausage I have never eaten!
kivikylän JUUSTOTUHTI is my favorite, the best cheese makkara ive ever tasted
Any kind of cheese sausages are my favorite! ❤️😎
You could add some spice by mixing sriracha with ketchup.
my favorite is Kabanossi cheese it is a good oven with the French
Definitely try Atria Wilhelm chili sulatejuusto.
Yum! We are grilling bratwurst tonight for dinner. That habanero one sounded delicious!
Kabanossi - salami & cheddar, ketchup and italiansalaatti on the side.
Kabanossi is my favorit but kabanossis cheeze is amazing
Snellman eetvartti chipotle has a nice kick to it and also a hint of smoky flavor 😉 it’s my new favourite 👍
Snellman chipotle makkara👌
My favorite makara, Kabanossi Grillibalkans~ Its my 5/5 and you might be able to find it in... Prisma? We always found them at Citymarket because for some reason the Prisma near us never stocked them.
Kivikylä Huiluntuhti is really good. Kabanossi XO was my favorite but I don't know if it's still available.
Try out "HK Maakarit Katalonian Carlos" found in Prisma at least. My new favorite makkara!
You should try Snellman's Chipotle Eetvartti, its 83% meat and has a really tasty chili flavour. Another one I recommend is Wilhelm chili-sulatejuusto.
Atrilli is my favorite of the regular makkaras.
Wilhelm chili-sulatejuusto is the best one
Chili-juusto is pretty good
