    Do this with HK Blöö
    1. Take off the skin
    2. Make about 5 five cuts per sausage
    3. Put cheese slices in the cuts
    4. Put it in a hot oven
    5. Eat with your choice of potatoes(i recommend smash)

Sininen lenkki has a "weird smooth taste" because it's more flour than meat. The most famous "vegetable" of Finland! X-D

Or for makkara kastike. Sausage Sauce with black pepper the sininen lenkki is the best. And the habanero makkara is nothing. The best is wilhelm chlili-sulatejuusto. Its has more hot flavor but not to much. Just be cauntius of the chess becouse it get hot inside.

Or on a wood fire, cut in big slices and put on a stick like a marshmallow..

Sininen lenkki is awesome when you take plastic Cover off, cut some holes In it and put sliced Cheese In those. Then at owen with 150°c like 45mins to 1 Hour and you Will have perfect food for after sauna parties... Ofc some lager with it 😉

Whoever this Owen is, I don't think he's done anything so bad he deserves to be heated to 150°c. Just leave those kind of mild temperatures to Finnish kids for sauna practice.

Snellman Chipotle Eetvartti has a good chili flavor, that is what I mostly buy. Also try Savuhovi Tuska (Pain), it is more hot but nothing extreme. Savuhovi used to have products like Viha (Wrath), Isoviha (Great Wrath) and Raivo (Rage). They were something else, Tuska is for babies compared to those guys.

Sininen Lenkki certainly gets smushy on open fire. It is generally recommended for oven. Some people cut some notches on it and put slices of cheese in. It's a bland bulk sausage from the old times. Still an important part of Finnish tradition though. Kabanossi Rio Picante has been my go-to for the last few years.

My ultimate favorite is Kabanossi's juusto-jalapeno one. They're like half the length of a normal makkara and there's 5? 6? makkara's per pack. I'm not a fan of spicy stuff, so that stuff absolutely burns my mouth. But I love it. I think they have another mini makkara packet too, should look for that too. Last summer the only place where I was able to find them was my local Citymarket here in Helsinki.

If you want to try "sininen lenkki" in right way follow this: Heat up the wooden sauna in 80'celcius (atleast). Open Makkara package and remove skin from "sininen lenkki". Put that baby's leg to foil and put it top of "kiuas" in sauna. Let it sit there for atleast 15minutes (usually you go into sauna with it). When your done with with sauna take that "Sininen lenkki" with you (watchout, its hot) and eat it while your chilling on outside. Remember to drink atleast one beer with and put lots of mustarts with it. That's the typical finnish way to eat that sausage.

If you like spicy then there is grillimakkara called Savuhovi Tuska. Also you talk about "Original" (by which you probably mean Original Kabanossi or Wilhem), but those high meat content sausages became popular around 2000, so if you wan't to know what makkara tasted like when people your age where kids try HK Camping.

You HAVE to taste " Atria Wilhelm Pepperoni-salami Grillimakkara " THAT just became my favourite sausage of all time ! And the sausage is suppose to be eaten BARBARICALLY with your bare hands like a savage Viking !

You should try Savuhovi's "Tuska" or "Auranen" (bluecheese). Auranen includes 10% "Valio Aura" and almost everything else is meat. Tuska is quite hot, but not too much. They also had "Isoviha" which was even hotter, but I think that one is discontinued. You should be able to find them from bigger markets, if not, you need to come visit Kerava - their factory and shop is here :-)

For me Helsinkiwurst is the best Makkara, worth to try if you find it in market.

Sininen lenkki should be eaten cold. Put thin slices of it on rye bread (Reissumies or Ruispalat) and that's it. :)

My favorite makara, Kabanossi Grillibalkans~ Its my 5/5 and you might be able to find it in... Prisma? We always found them at Citymarket because for some reason the Prisma near us never stocked them.

You should try Snellman's Chipotle Eetvartti, its 83% meat and has a really tasty chili flavour. Another one I recommend is Wilhelm chili-sulatejuusto.
