To indiscriminately destroy both the weak and strong, bad and good, do you think or feel that you will exist, or exist as nothing as transparent as gasses...
Honestly, I think Thanos killed more than half of the universe because of the consequences of the snap. Like in the movie where the helicopter crashed at the after credits scene. That would killed someone who wasn't going to be erased. And think of the babies that had their parents erased and no one to look after them. Maybe someone would of found them but I guarantee that some would of died. Kinda makes it even darker.
When you spoke about Thanos' superhuman intellect; you forgot to mention that for all his vast intelligence(probably beyond even Reed Richards and Dr. Doom) Thanos from the comics has a subconscious desire to fail. He unconsciously feels unworthy of his power and he unconsciously leaves flaws in his plans so that he can be defeated...which is about the only reason the heroes ever stopped him.
TN BLITZKRIEG Yup, and I think that personality quirk, that "Catch 22" he is forever caught in, is really what makes his character so interesting. I've heard people say that Thanos should double the resources rather than what he wishes to do. People who say that misunderstand Thanos and his central ideology. It isn't strictly about the abundance of resources but rather the wasteful nature of prosperity, decedence, and overpopulation. What he is doing is trying to force a course correction onto civilization as a whole. The removal of half a population will force society to change completely to cope with such a radical changes in its lifestyle. The fact that there is now an abundance of developed resources helps that society in its own transition.

I don’t think his plan can be played off as “madness”. There was definitive logic to his plan. He acted without discrimination, had observed the positive effect on culling 50% of the population on MANY occasions, and sought the power to do this in a way that wasn’t painful to the beings who were randomly chosen. It’s quite obvious that throughout the film particularly, when he got each stone, he used less and less brute force and lethality to reach his final goal. In the comics he is an outcast who is continually betrayed and acts like a serial killer on his home planet. That isn’t the same story for him as the films. The other gems obviously worked together well too but the Soul and Mind had the closest connection.
It should also be noted that the power stone gives an aura of power even without being activated. It's literally the physical embodiment of power. That's why the stone incinerated lesser beings who held it. It was too much power for them.

I'm so happy they changed Thanos for the movie. I love his failure to please Death in the comics, but not sure I would have wanted to see that in the movie.
I think forgot one of his most strongest abilities in brief detail: Telepathy. He's probably has the most powerful telepathic mind in the Marvel universe. Only rivaled by beings such as Odin, Galactus, some cosmic entities, and Phoenix Force Jean Grey. Even Moon Dragon (the daughter of Drax the Destroyer), *with* the mind stone, wasn't able to damage and explore his mind without taking damage herself. Which is a feat in itself. He also has matter manipulation just shy of reality warping (though he cannot warp it). After Death gave him cancer (yes, she's actually able to do that. God cancer), he went to the God Query, passed the test, and came back even *more* powerful than he was before. Then took on his son Thane who was powered by the Phoenix Force, and whooped his ass. That again, is a feat in itself. The Avengers: IW movie, the seriously made him less powerful than he truly is. And I'm sure it was just for the plot. Because otherwise, he could've easily beat 6-7 Avengers WITHOUT the IG. In the "Thanos Wins" story, he literally wakes up *every* morning, and allowed a cosmic powered Ghost Rider give him the "Stare" only because King Thanos enjoyed it. A stare that makes the receiver experience ALL the physical pain and suffering they've cause upon others they're (Thanos') entire life. And that means Thanos experience millions of years of torment with a smile on his face, and LOVED it. And, he literally feels *ALL* the pain too. ALL OF IT. Anyway, great video, man. he's gonna remember those words when the avengers come back an woop his ass. DREAD IT-RUN FROM IT-THE AVENGERS WILL STILL ARRIVE ALL THE SAME. haha. awsome
stephen Right?! The Infinity War and whatever they call Avengers 4, are like those old two part stories in Annuals. Like when the Avengers fought Thanos with the aid of Adam Warlock, and got their asses handed to them in part one. Then, in part two, they brought it to Thanos, even though he was way stronger than them! Then Warlock finally killed Thanos (for a while, it's comics *shrugs* ) but died himself in the process, and have his soul "live" on in the Soul Gem of the Infinity Gems. I loved that two-parter, and now Infinity War was great! I hope Avengers 4 delivers :)
I assume in end game they will defeat and kill Thanks but I really hope he is around for a good few movies yet because I absolutely love the character.
In the Infinity Gauntlet Comic series by Jim Starling... Thanos was a Nihilist who was obsessed with Death. His quest for the Infinity Stones was not his first time acquiring them. This time he went about it so that he express his full fealty to Lady Death by wiping out half the population of the Universe. The movie does a pretty good job of keeping his character pretty consistent based upon the comic books.
Thanos was turned down growing up and just wanted to balance the universe, he even sacrificed everything he had just to do his will. Someone so good at heart was poisoned by the world. He accomplished the balance and dissapeared in peace not bothering a soul even destroying the gems. Humbly minding his buisness the Avengers came and attacked him.
what makes Thanos such a great villain is that his purpose is actually relatable...we are suffering the same issues in the real world..the poorest nations in the world have rampant over breeding that will one day lead to collapse...we are using up all of our resources
So... Couldn't he have used the Infinity Stones to *create* infinite amounts of resources for the universe instead of culling half of all known life? Just sayin'...
RuSosan the stones only grant the user ultimate force over the universe, but only that universe - not even the stones can create something out of nothing.
@@LouieCartoon That is not true, since in End Game he says now he wanted to destroy the whole universe, then he would create a new one, filled with new life.
Schnell according to Einstein energy can be converted to mass (theoretically). If the infinity stones are sources of energy, that energy can be converted to mass.
People argue why didn't Thanos just double the universes resources. Well what they don't understand is that doubling the resources wouldn't help much or give life much more time and Thanos understands this. At the 49th hour it seems that everything is ok with abundance and we have a ton of time left before we are in trouble but when it gets to 50 it's game over and few understand this. The need for resources grows exponentially and the rate of regeneration of resources is quickly overtaken by the speed of depletion. The earth has this problem in real life at this very moment

he's gonna remember those words when the avengers come back an woop his ass. DREAD IT-RUN FROM IT-THE AVENGERS WILL STILL ARRIVE ALL THE SAME. haha. awsome
stephen
Right?!
I hope Avengers 4 delivers :)
stephen except for those other 14 million times the avengers failed...
Thanos is extraordinary. His strong-minded perfectionism is unrivaled.

Do Vaas from far cry 3 next

5:16 he must be brushing his teeth twice a day!!!
Omg I’m the movie I was not able to disagree with him it was hard to I was like damn they made his character well
7:11 when your step sister is stuck
an observation: how can two pieces of metal rubbed against each other create a snap.... IMPOSSIBLE !!!
that damn background song is starting to scare me, reminding me of the evil within series
I know right, especially when it's night time.
They need to make a movie about Thanos backstory. I’m really interested in his character.
Thanos is such a badass
This was a great video!!!
Comic Thanos: The ultimate simp
Thanos was turned down growing up and just wanted to balance the universe, he even sacrificed everything he had just to do his will. Someone so good at heart was poisoned by the world. He accomplished the balance and dissapeared in peace not bothering a soul even destroying the gems. Humbly minding his buisness the Avengers came and attacked him.
what makes Thanos such a great villain is that his purpose is actually relatable...we are suffering the same issues in the real world..the poorest nations in the world have rampant over breeding that will one day lead to collapse...we are using up all of our resources
@LadyGaGa is hot it is overpopulation, if ppl wouldnt breed like crazy especially when they cant afford it the world would have lesser problems.
Is this your only channel? Cuz I swear iv heard your voice in other videos
Bring me Thanos!!

So... Couldn't he have used the Infinity Stones to *create* infinite amounts of resources for the universe instead of culling half of all known life?
Just sayin'...
RuSosan the stones only grant the user ultimate force over the universe, but only that universe - not even the stones can create something out of nothing.
That would just double the population at an exceedingly rapid rate
@@LouieCartoon That is not true, since in End Game he says now he wanted to destroy the whole universe, then he would create a new one, filled with new life.
Science 101. Energy/things cannot be created from nothing.
Schnell according to Einstein energy can be converted to mass (theoretically). If the infinity stones are sources of energy, that energy can be converted to mass.
do darkside next
adding him to the list now, thanks :)
Thanos is so powerful he can snap with a metal gauntlet on
