Hi, I'm Amber! My cookie decorating tutorials are filmed in my studio in upstate, New York. I'm a graduate of the baking and pastry program at the Culinary Institute of America and I've been decorating cookies professionally for over 12 years! I love sharing my techniques and I post cookie decorating tutorials with step-by-step instructions here on my RUclips channel every week. Let me know if you have any suggestions for upcoming videos!
0:00 Introduction
1:33 See the description for a link to the template to cut your own filigree stencil.
1:44 Apply medium consistency icing to the edge of a thin, flexible spreader.
2:23 Apply white pearl dust to the icing while the stencil is still in place.
4:13 Pipe ruffles on the dress using stiff consistency royal icing and a decorating tip 59s.
5:08 Pipe roses using stiff consistency icing and a petal tip 101.
5:54 Apply edible pink dust to the roses with a dry brush.
7:25 Attach the roses to the cookies with a little bit of icing. - Хобби
What perfect timing! I’m doing cookies for my best friend’s wedding June 1st. 😂😅😂

Thank you so much, Maria ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous! Love them!
Thank you, Janice!
These are such elegant and beautiful cookies! Thank you so much for sharing your techniques! 👍🏻
I’m glad you like them! Thank you! ❤️
This is one of the best tutorials for royal icing and transfers that I have seen. I cannot wait to try your "non-piping" technique. I'm impressed by your instructions on using a thin layer of RI instead of scraping, and applying luster dust directly on top of the stencil. Wonderful!
Thank you! ☺️
Oh so gorgeous 😍
Fantastic lovely too loved !!! Thank you dear for sharing love your works God bless you ❤️😍👏👏👏👏👏🥰
These just look amazing and beautiful 😍❤
Thank you so much!! ❤️
So pretty
These are wonderful!!
Thank you!!
Haven't made wedding cakes for a long time but want to get back into business BUT, not making cakes anymore...cookies... seeing how you decorated the gown and the cake... I was right there in my mind squeezing the tube myself... hoping I can get into this...despite it seems labor intensive it looks like so much fun..I have all the tools...was in business since the early 1980's...refused to give anything away... and here I am about to do this again! YEAH!
Those are some beautiful wedding dress cookies, Amber, and so is your smile.
Thank you, Byron! ☺️
Thank you for your video. These cookies are gorgeous!!

Beautiful ❤😮
Thank you ☺️
So nice
So pretty thanks
Thank you!
Beautiful
Thank you, Denise!
Yeah, no puns. That's just very cool. I was looking at some of the really crazy wedding cakes that do 3d bridges and stuff with royal icing. Have you ever considered trying that stuff? I'm not 100% sure how to apply it to a cookie. I'm sure there is something there, but oooooo boy. Crazy town hard to do.
Beautyful, sometimes just looking to have good dreams in the night. Thank you for giving me a nice evening and the idea of a better world...
I’m so glad my videos are helpful, Debbi. Thank you ☺️
Really beautiful, I so want to try to make cookies, just so nervous lol 💕
Doesn’t hurt to try! Just have fun with it ❤️
Mulher.... você não decora, você humilha!!!!
These are beautiful! how long does this skill take to learn?
You amaze me with your art work,I love these cookies, but I was wondering how long you keep the stencil on the cookie, maybe you have a lot of experience you know how and when but how can I know as a hobby cookier, with a little experience, can you please guide me?Thank you!!!!
Thank you!! I removed the stencil right after I was done applying the luster dust. The icing was still wet.
Where can I find the stencil? These are gorgeous!
Gorgeous! Do you use leaf green and rose pink together to get that shade of green? Leaf green alone is just to vibrant for me. ❤️
Thank you, Debbie! Yes, I mixed those two colors together ☺️
Si cute
Beautiful as always. Do you think it would look bad if I left the flowers off the cake cookie? Or maybe do soft blue(her colors) for the ruffles? I do this just for fun so not great at it (yet)😊
Thank you 😄 I think that would be beautiful!!
@@Sweetambs thank you so much 😄
Do you use a new stencil for each cookie? How do you clean them? I love your work!
Thank you!! It works better if you use a clean stencil but I cut 3 stencils so that I didn’t have to clean it after each cookie. If the royal icing is not too dry on the stencil it just rinses off with warm water. If it’s dry you’ll need to let it soak for a few minutes ☺️
@@Sweetambs I appreciate your prompt reply! Be blessed!
Beautiful! Is the medium consistency for stenciling the same as outline/writing consistency? Thank you.
Thank you, Juliana! Yes, it’s the same consistency ☺️
@@Sweetambs Thank you! I am going to try out simple stenciling this weekend 🙂
Yes! I love that you the same consistency. I hate having my piping layer showing. I’m new to fancy cookies, as I call them, and there’s definitely a learning curve. Do you use a bit thicker consistency than others for both?
💗💗💗💗
Wow too beautiful to eat
Thank you ☺️
Que trabalho belíssimo.
Não falo inglês mas se puder responder, eu agradeço. Minha filha traduz para mim.
Você seca os biscoitos antes de decorar? Estou começando a fazer biscoitos há pouco tempo.
Translation:
What beautiful work.
I don't speak English, but if you could answer, I'd be grateful. My daughter will translate for me (translation note: I'm not the daughter).
Do you dry the cookies before decorating? I've started making cookies not long ago.
جميل جداً 💗👍😳😳
Where do I find the list of supplies?
Hi Joyce! The supply list is in the description of the video and it’s also here on my blog ☺️ www.sweetambs.com/tutorial/wedding-cookies-stenciling-with-royal-icing/
If I want to make these for a wedding how far in advance can I make them? How should I store them?
I would usually start a week in advance ☺️
Here are some tips!www.sweetambs.com/tutorial/bake-perfect-cookies/
Ok, git a problem with the stencil, done cut it 3 times, and the thing want stay together, it it literally falling apart, so I want my money back it, I can probably fine something on espy, with this the way it is will not stay in place for any icing, you can send it back or I can go to pay pal and get
I want so bad to do some of these myself for my daughter bridal shower but I fear it would be an epic fail and I’d break those cookies the second I heard down to fill in that stencil. Maybe I’ll try something more for a beginner. I see now why people charge. 300 dollars for 6 of these lol
❤😍😍
☺️❤️
