I met my wife n 98, she had this CD when she moved n 6 months later. We used to spend countless hours listening to it when we took our candle lit baths together. Only now do I realize how sublime that time was. If the eyes are the window to the soul, then music is the front door.
Everytime I listen to this song it brings tears to my eyes. It makes me think of my grandma and my dog that meant everything to me and now their gone. I've had my dog for 15 years I got him when I was 5. He's been there through everything, it's been about 6 months and I still wonder around the house looking for him sometimes. And my grandmother was like a mother to me she took care of me every day when my mom was working.
I lost my precious dog on 19/3 a few days back and she is buried in my garden and this piece of music makes me sad but she was a beauty and this suites her character.
Katie it is tough but be comforted that you were there for both your dog and your Grandmother. I am sure you brought them much joy. Now you must go forward carrying the love you have for them in your heart but reaching out and bringing joy to others.

The sound of her violin is pure syrup & the haunting melody strips your soul bare. For me her bow control is both technically superb & not superb at the same time. It’s fascinating but one thing for absolutely sure is her performance completely makes this performance. Without her interpretation of this music it just wouldn’t take everyone’s breath away the way that it does. It’s truly beautiful

I agree I’ve been an admirer of Stjepan Hauser for quite a few years now. I’m 87 and admire his playing as if you watch the videos you can see how he feels the music when he plays especially this piece. He has been given a God given gift which he shares with his audiences. Beautiful.

If you haven't already, my advice would be to invest a little money in some higher end equipment that can actually reproduce quality sound. There are excellent value priced products but you have to do a little research and read some stereo review magazines or go online. Here is a big hint. All of the big name brand, consumer grade stuff you see in the department stores is CRAP. Once you hear and understand what "imaging, sound stage & clarity" really is, a whole new dimension will open up for you. BTW, I started building speakers and got interested in Hi Fi while in High School, that was 1975.

Around 2004 Secret Garden toured Australia and my then young teenage daughter asked me to take her to see a “Norwegian Folk Band”. I had never heard of them and was not expecting much. The concert blew my mind and never in my entire life have I witnessed such a haunting concert. I have been a fan ever since and I owe my daughter gratitude for introducing me to this wonderful group.
I have written many books/stories since Lockdown and Secret Garden were an inspiration! Love the emotion in their music and hope and pray that more youngsters could understand the emotions of their music❤❤

Around 2004 Secret Garden toured Australia and my then young teenage daughter asked me to take her to see a “Norwegian Folk Band”. I had never heard of them and was not expecting much. The concert blew my mind and never in my entire life have I witnessed such a haunting concert. I have been a fan ever since and I owe my daughter gratitude for introducing me to this wonderful group.
