We know in any business we are doing the revenue that is coming in the business or company is the profit of it .Another Expense principle : it state that in and expense occurs when the business use goods or services. so when they have expense they are going to reduce money that in the business. Krassimir Sir answered you right but you must record withdrawals voucher in an owner's dividend account. So basically it also says that owner takes dividend, and withdrawal money for personal uses.

Technically, you are correct. This is just a simplification for students to understand more easily.
