I love how you explain the world of bulbs n gardening, I'm a believer that enjoys The layering of bulbs to hide the foliage too, thanks for the ideas n hope to see more from you soon, holidays are fast approaching so hard to get motivated when these temperatures are still hot even at bight. But some part of me wants it to stay warmer too.
This was a GREAT video. Full of info and what to look for when placing bulbs. Personally I hate the dying foliage and cut it back before I should. Thank you for the tips!!
I am not a fan of planting tulip bulbs. Probably because I do your preferred method of digging a large, deep hole then planting the bulbs densely. It's a lot of work. But, I fell in love with Yuliya's tulip bed last spring (her channel: Y Garden) and ordered a huge amount of tulip bulbs from Longfield Gardens in the same colors as hers. I got a good portion of them planted the other day before the rain came. I just dug a fairly deep single hole and color-blocked the merlot, pale pink, pink/white, purple, white and black tulips in amongst my perennials. Fingers 🤞 crossed the squirrels don't dig them up because the depths varied so much. We're in for 30s this next week so I may plant the remaining tulips and my daffodils in my backyard garden among my hydrangeas, that's where I like to sit and have my morning coffee. These cold and shorter days make one do triage on the chores list. If I don't finish what's left it wouldn't be so terrible. But now I have geraniums in my garage to experiment overwintering them in paper bags without soil. All gardening seems to be a big experiment. 😊
I wasn’t going to plant any bulbs this year but maybe I will. I made a new shade bed under some trees and I could add some daffodils 28:57 under the brunnera and under the hakonechloa grass.
Hyacinths can cause skin irritation on some people. Make sure to wear gloves when handling the bulbs. I would also like to say that Darwin and Triumph tulips are more perennial. Many people put their tulips in refrigeration for 12 or more weeks before planting that live in higher zones. Bonny
I guess I will live vicariously through your bulb display. Thanks for the video.
Any time!
Thank you again for another educational and fantastic video
Yes, definitely plant bulbs in the spots you don’t visit often or see from the house!! They are perfect for cutting and bringing inside!!
😊Those are some nice color combination ideas!🎉

Im in Texas so it's not ideal. December will probably be in the high 60s low 70s during the day. 😢
Tulips
Uh oh. You may be getting itchy from the hyacinth bulbs.
