I have just done my rear tyre that came in at £164 so your on the right money there - the pad job is thirty seconds once its off, you exhaust note is so much better than stock - Cheers
@@flatbrokefrank6482 only major keeping is oil changes really. Almost 6L of oil a few times a year. Sort of restoring it as the previous owners neglected it.
I'm impressed he did it on the spot. Last time i got a set of tyres i dropped it off on my way to work and picked up at the end of the day. How long did the whole thing take?
I ordered the tires day before yesterday, and he said come in any time in the morning today so I got there 5 mins after he opened around 9. To do the tire and rear brake took about an hour.
Hi Dean.Good vlog,Just one question,do you hook your g/p & s/n up to your online battery or do you use the internal battery. You seem to have a few extras like me.ATB JB.
Hi mate. everything is hooked up directly to the battery. In the new year when it gets a little warmer, I'll be re adding everything better, as some things need to be on a relay, with live power, rather than direct to battery. and the rest of the accessories I'll put through a accessory terminal.
I saw that. Just wondering if you have to drop the rear to do something as simple as changing the rear pads out. It looks that way, but I don't have a fat jack, or a decent place to work on mine. Kind of cold right now where I'm at. Thanks for the feedback on the trunk. I'll have to get a good look at that.
Nothing special to change pads. Just unbolt caliper, take pads out, compress pistons back in, put new pads in and bolt back on. Its fine on the side stand
Good vid Dean, I must admit I'd rather someone else not work on my bike with an air gun, don't mind using one myself, it's just that you never quite know how far cranked up it is, new tyre new brakes, why monsieur you are spoiling her, lol, RSM8.
I dont know enough to know anything lol. And yup, she needs spoiling now and then. Trying to keep her sweet till mot, so she stays a good girl lol. RS mate.

Always amazing how much better a bike feels with new tyres.
felt like it was gliding around the corners.
I still have my rear tire. I've put 23,000 on it and it's still got some life on it, not much but a little. I have a Michelin commander 2

Could you replace the rear brakes without dropping the rear tire? What kind of trunk are you using on the back?
V Star 1300 Adventures yeah you can. I was having my tire replaced and just had breaks done whilst he was there. It’s a hepco and Becker junior tc55
