You are discrediting the skill and the gameplan by O’Malley’s team. There’s a reason Aljo didn’t shoot more takedowns. -O’Malley kept his distance and mainly threw kicks down the middle. - He kept his back away from the cage and towards the middle - He never overextended his punches that leave his hips wide open. But dam Bro you’re coping on Super Saiyan levels lol.
Garry could have finished if he kept kicking the legs. But he kept stopping to try for the highlight headshot ko. Garrys ego is gonna get him seriously hurt soon. Also you need to start giving chito his flowers. Its not accident that he shows no damage. He beat the brakes of pedro. Chito is probably the best defensive fighter. He rolled with blocked or just made pedro miss 80% of his strikes. Commentary was dumb. They would say "good strike by pedro" when he would miss or get blocked.
Exactly what I was thinking. It’s almost like a Alex pereira in their defensive stance. They only really parry shots and block not a lot of head movement from those 2 fighters
Lucas the MMA math does make sense. The reason Petr was able to take down Sean, is because he also has elite pressure and striking. 80% of his takedowns came from the cage and not letting Sean circle out. Now lets look at the Aljo vs Sean fight. Every kick Aljo threw was avoided, everytime he tried to pressure Sean easily circled away. I know Aljo has unique kicks, but he possesses literally no threat with his hands. This is why Aljo tried so hard to pressure with his kicks in rnd 1, but Sean is just too good of a striker for that to work. He was in on a good single as you said, but if you rewatch the Yan vs O'malley fight, all of Yans takedowns came from double legs or body locks. Every single leg Yan shot was stuffed. This is because shorter fighters have a much easier time completing double legs than single legs, on taller opponents. Aljo got frustrated, realized the kicks weren't doing shit for him, and got overzealous with his hands. Which is simply a low IQ move considering Sean O'malley is one of the best counter strikers in the sport. I'm not saying Aljo didn't prepare properly, but watching him not throw fakes, switching from a bodylock to a single, and over reaching with his hands tells us he wasn't prepared. I also want to highlight, Sean O'Malley has one of the best cornermen in the game, in Tim Welch. If you watch the corner footage he tells Sean to stay patient and wait for him to pressure which led to the KO. He gave the same advice, that led to O'Malley rocking Yan with the left hand in the second round, and cutting him with the knee in the third.

Didn’t you say that a total dominant beating is more impressive than a first round ko because I think Ian Garry’s performance was way more impressive than him just knocking Magny out in one round.
Zhang is more or less going to rag doll Yan on the ground. You probably didn't see how EASY it was, 2 years ago, when Carla beat the crap out of Yan, on the ground. And you saw how easily Zhang tapped Carla on the ground. Anyway.... It's in the stand-up that Yan has a chance. If you don't want someone rag dolled on the ground, you're talking about Tatiana Suarez, the elite grappler/wrestler. Not sure how good Tatiania's stand-up is --- because if she's another Aljo on the feet, Zhang could put her lights, out before it gets to the mat ---- but, yes, Tatiana is the only one who, currently, has the ground skills to beat Zhang on the ground. O’Malley has improved a lot yes, but if you played this fight out 10 times I’m still picking Aljo to win at least 6 of those. I think a lot of the difference noticed in O’Malley is down to preparation, and mindset. Sean was as hungry as could be and knew he was training for someone that would be pretty desperate to grab a hold of him based off his distance striking so it was a lot better of a fight for Sean than most people (including me) thought. Ive been saying this. But I feel as though Aljo choked. IMO, he has enough tools to take Omalley down. He has enough tools to submit or TKO Omalley on the ground. But he didn’t. He was timid in this fight, tried to match Omalley on the feet, and didn’t use his own physical advantages in the clinch/takedowns. And so Omalley caught him lacking. And it seems Omalley is a guy that will punish an opponent’s slip ups.
I think these wirey strikers and rising contenders like omalley are just exposing how close skillwise the unranked are to the ranked skillwise they're just not as good of competitors. I could be wrong, just a thought
Why was Jones able to outwrestle DC, someone who would body him in a pure wrestling match? Because Jones is a far better striker. Wrestling doesn't start with you taking a spinning elbow against a cage. That's in regards to Petr being able to take down O'Malley. It does make sense. Not saying picking aljo is a bad move btw, but given what we know now, I think it's safe to say Seans TDD has been underrated this entire time. It's just that Petr had success through mixing it up.

I don’t like Lucas or Guru. I disagree with most of their takes but you should try calling fights based on what’s best for the ufc lol. You’d be surprised at how often you’ll be right.
A star is born as PPV buys are plummeting.
I think these wirey strikers and rising contenders like omalley are just exposing how close skillwise the unranked are to the ranked skillwise they're just not as good of competitors. I could be wrong, just a thought
I lost my bet because Ian couldn’t finish magny like wow
You need to pick Makachev against Charles
Pleasee
Lot of dumb shit said in this video but that's why I watch videos from this channel, love it
What I say that was dumb 😂 thank you tho
Why was Jones able to outwrestle DC, someone who would body him in a pure wrestling match? Because Jones is a far better striker. Wrestling doesn't start with you taking a spinning elbow against a cage.
That's in regards to Petr being able to take down O'Malley. It does make sense.
Not saying picking aljo is a bad move btw, but given what we know now, I think it's safe to say Seans TDD has been underrated this entire time. It's just that Petr had success through mixing it up.
Chito tough as always and looking sharp af. Pedro too tough anyone else gets finished
Yea Garry rly taught Magny his lesson by giving him a sore leg smh
@whatsgood211sore legs
Sometimes getting bullied for three rounds is worse than getting ko’d after one
@@KieranRooney not really
I think this guy really enjoys being wrong about everything. You have the record for any sport in history for the most bad takes
Came for the raging but didnt expect in a million years this man to start saying leon and sean and whoever else hes thinking of is like what... having their opponents not use certain weapons or something? To win... thats pretty wild.
No way Sean is going to hold that belt for as long as Aljo.
This win will be his biggest highlight of his career.
I honestly believe he coulda finished mangy whenever he wanted but he just wanted to beat his ass
Don't buy that for a second. There's no man on earth who would say pre fight he'd knock his opponent out and then intentionally not finish that person. This guy just worried in the back of his head he would mess up. And that's against a crippled generic fighter. Imagine what happens in top 5. This guy is not all that good bruh. You'll see
I wanted Aljo to win personally but well done to O’Malley I’ll tell you this tho ain’t no way Suga Sean’s holding that belt as long as Aljo did on Killers Row.
Chito, Corey and merab are all getting finished lol
@@JbBlastdoublehe better duck Merab or he will lose that belt as quick as he got it
Sandhagen sleeps O’Malley
@@Jaydot34. 😂😂 ur bias, no facts
Garry is good, I don't quite think he's Adesanya level but I understand the comparison
garry is funny on the mic
We’re living in the Disney era.
Chitos face is made out of the same stuff as captain americas shield😭
You’re coping so hard. Seething.
Love your content
Welcome to the Suga show 🍀
Im happy other people are noticing the UFC gets their way 90% of the time. You can literally judge fights by “I’m going to choose X fighter b/c it’s the best business decision for the ufc” and you’d be surprised at how often your predictions come to fruition.
What nonsense is that lol casual
Dana has been furious with trash decisions more times than you could count.
@@jack-of-all-trades1234 honestly that guy such a causal too call 90% of the fights fix lol
This is what the MMA Guru said a couple days ago. Lucas basically regurgitates whatever Guru says
I don’t like Lucas or Guru. I disagree with most of their takes but you should try calling fights based on what’s best for the ufc lol. You’d be surprised at how often you’ll be right. I was able to call the Pereira/Izzy matchup going 1-1 Bc it made the most sense business wise. Several other examples as well but I don’t really care if y’all agree or not. I’m just a casual I suppose.
Next time you Curse a main event wear a wizard hat in your recap video the next day & don't even acknowledge the hat, just act normal like its just another day Lol.🧙♂️
That would be Legendary.
You should make a top 10 best stars (charisma wise) in ufc history list
If the ufc wasn’t owned by Disney we’d probably have super stacked 3 Title fight cards again since they’d actually care about the success of a card.
Sean o malley isn't really cringe by himself dude. Ian Garry is a completely different story. I'm not usually a fan of people who are in open relationships and looking like a clown in general but compared to Ian Garry I maybe a big fan of Sean lol.
Absolutely amazing that 25k people watch this guy give the worst takes in combat sports history.
Being entertaining > being correct i guess
That one kick to the head jn the third for machado the cuck was nice ..other than that i was hysterically laughing the entire fight watching magny
People have called Aljo a weight bully and to be fair, could prolly call Omalley a height bully. But it is what it is.
Hahahah im sorry for your mental handicap
If your a betting guy, do the exact opposite of what Lucas picks
In ian garrys defense… i dont think he wanted to finish magny bcs tbh… i think any given 5th grader could’ve finished him last night if his legs were that fucked up
You keep it real bro that’s why you da goat 🐐
Calling it fishy seems true. It’s almost like Aljo didn’t even try to fight
Lucas should pick up Muay Thai, sometimes it seems that he’s real critical when guys can’t secure a finish without realizing how hard it is to put a guy away who is just 100% focused on defense. Not to defend Gerry, but he did say, rushing a finish is where guys get countered and lose, which is super true.
Would love to see a Lucas Tracy trains arc
I’ve done Muay Thai in the past and I also wasn’t being that critical of Ian for not finishing Magny, I was frustrated because he didn’t try to finish him
@@lucastracymma8764 oh sick, love the content btw. From my perspective, it seemed like Ian was trying to get the finish he just didn’t want to risk leaving his chin exposed for a sure fire win,
@@lucastracymma8764"I wasn't critical that he didn't finish him"
"I was critical that he didn't try to finish him"
Bro wtf?
aljo is a big 135er not in frame he just has a lot of upper body muscle but omalley is a giant 135er and isnt as petite as people make him out to be.i know aljo is suspect too but omalley was busted for peds, i have no idea how he has the strength to fight at that weightclass as tall as his frame is.
At this point I feel for poor Lucas ... SMH life's hard
His views aren't dipping because MMA fans don't care about analysis. They want to be entertained.
The reason Yan took Sean down was because he had to respect Yan’s striking. Only thing Sean against Aljo had to do was respect the wrestling and let the footwork do the rest
"Reverse brain damage" is CERTAINLY a new one lmao.
I thought grappling was paper and striking rock but it turns out some strikers are scissors
Can you make a video on the top fighters with the best marketing
Hutf needs your approval.
lucas do u train martial arts lowkey i’ve been curious
Also it was clear Gary was jus torturing him out there
Looks like certain ppl winning in certain ways are the ones that open certain financial waterfalls for a certain company which leads one to believe that certain outcomes maybe.....wweish.....
Lol more like Sean was a nightmare match up for Aljo, a striker like him will catch anybody
Although you may want to see Ian Garry throw caution to the wind and risk a loss by recklessly trying to entertain you in a fight he had no chance of losing by doing exactly what he did, he played it smart. The bigger question on my mind is; what filter do you use in your videos to make you look less ginger?
