R.I.P Mike Yarwood.
ABBA! Still here! 2023.
As a 10-year-old kid & a huge ABBA fan at the time, I couldn't wait to watch this on Christmas night. However, although it were a huge coup for the BBC to get ABBA on Mike Yarwood's Christmas show, I couldn't help but notice that they didn't seem very comfortable with the way their appearance was arranged. Still a great show all the same
19:33 - the "on behalf" line delivered by Mike here was very accurate to how the legendary Reggie would deliver some of his words.
He would have been great doing trump and biden, great impersonator and comedian
00:01 - Nothing says the spirit of Christmas better than a decapitated head of a gurning Father Christmas, revolving around in the snow.
I believe there was a BBC strike in the run up to Christmas so their traditional ident was hurried!
I love the bit where he says "and this is me😲 ?" because if he never told us who he was impersonating we would struggle to guess 🤔 they all sounded like a bad Harold Wilson impression 🙄
Recommend watching this before being so fast to judge. - www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001tktz
@@phyd it's all Harold Wilson that sounds like Mike Yarwood 😋
@@phyd Can you amend the description box, as you say this special is from Christmas Day 1979 but the title you say is 1978, which in fact it was, as Callaghan was Prime Minister then.
Terrible!!
1978?
THEY'RE WEARING FLARED TROUSERS!!!
