Baker's a dude. How can you dislike the guy? I'm not a fan of the Bucs but he's a chill guy who just seems like a down to earth cat.

Really awesome to see so many people starting to understand why we love him so much at OU.
I think he got a little too full of himself while he was in Cleveland, then you add injuries, a multitude of new head coaches, and his performance suffered. I believe from essentially getting kicked to the curb, it made him a better leader as well as a more consistent player which has always kinda been the knock on him. Great story nonetheless

Being a local Sooner fan, I've followed Baker from his first days of Oklahoma. He's my football dude. But there's no question, players want to follow him, when he's allowed to be himself he makes it happen. He is so criminally underrated. He's "intelligent" beyond words, a player with incredible fire and ability, and given the tools and set free to do his thing, he's well worth a huge contract. Wishing my guy the very best! BAKER MAYFIELD!!

I'm from Cleveland and I've been following him ever since they did him dirty, here in Cleveland. If the browns would have made sure he was healthy and had him today I think they would be in the super bowl just my opinion.
I like the way he plays. He’s a tough guy and a tough competitor. I bet his teammates like playing with him. I think they’re gonna go far. And I’m a Niner fan but I root for him.
Baker just seems like such a genuine guy, how can I not root for him?

Baker's comment about a quarterback statement "he's a game manager" that quarter back has to perform at an elite level. If you have a qualitive supporting cast, especially at the skilled positions the quarterback can just do his job - Baker does just that - he's an "igniter"
