Tommy Burns Funeral-Old Firm United in Grief -Hallelujah

This video is about how Old Firm bigotry and segregation is slowly but surely dying in our modern day society,recently highlighted through the passing of the Celtic legend Tommy Burns. Both the reaction of Rangers FC and their fans and the gratitude from Celtic Fc and their fans at such a warm,decent and dignified display, has been a catalyst for change from our segregated ways.
No one is suggesting we will be best friends, we're footballing rivals and we're not eejits lol, but what has been strongly highlighted (and shown from the messages left by both sets of fans on the TB video's, which i have compiled both below and in the video)is that rivalry may remain but Sectarianism, Bigotry and hatred may not. It also highlighted that a growing number of Old Firm fans are friends away from the footballing world and would gladly rather be a united rather than divided old firm supporter
The bigots are in the minority and many messages were also attacks from both sides on 'their own' (if you can even call them that) when they stepped out of line..an encouraging attitude beginning to develop.We must all remember this if real change is allowed to develop. We must get rid of Bigotry and sectarianism.We must get rid of the poison that exists in our country, before it kills it.

What a special day, for a special man. An example to all in how to live our lives with respect, understanding and forgiveness for others. I pray that the example he set helps to soften a few hearts, and that an era of mutual respect, results in a living memorial to Tommy. As a Celtic fan I am deeply moved by the warmth and respect shown to Tommy Burns by Rangers fans. Respect guys. I hope we can all show the misguided minority...and they are a minority...that we need to move our two great clubs to a higher plane.

A sad, sad day. I am a Rangers man, as you can see from my name. I watched the Service and it was very touching to say the least. Tears were shed here for Tommy, a man I always respected and greatly admired.

Learn respect.I felt really sad when Davie Cooper died.Why can you not afford Tommy Burns the same respect that Ally McCoist and Walter Smith showed.Respect to them both.I thought it was brilliant what they did and hopefully the clubs and thier followers can follow their lead and build some bridges.Rest in Peace Tommy.There will never be another like you good man

In the world we live in, there is no room for bigotry and hatred. It is unfortunate that it takes the loss of a great man to bridge the protestant catholic gap amongst us. Forever will you be in our hearts tommy burns.
