It boosts their pay and benefits, helps the Forest Service fill gaps in fire management staff, and promotes bigger forest management projects to reduce hazardous fuels.

      GW, for sure, as has mostly always been the case. The A part, nope. That is a purely political/power construct, in which science was and is curated via the IPCC’s permitted CMIP datasets, and it’s control of funding.
      Please also don’t neglect the abundance of fuels due to decades of suppression of natural less-intense periodic wildfires. This is what controlled burns attempt to correct. A good source on this is Deke at YT chan The Lookout.
