Thank you Doug! I have this trick but your opening is what caught my eye and and made this even more interesting. Your banter and card handling never ceases to amaze me!
After I learned the Sidewalk Shuffle and the Color Mnte in the 1970s, none of the 3 card monte versions ever fooled me...until I saw you do this one. Another "Conn subtlety" at work here...and the 3 cards laid face up in plain sight for the first few seconds fooled me COMPLETELY. And the best part? I didn't even realize I was being deceived. When you started by lying down those 3 cards face up, and then began the actual monte moves, I was hopelessly fooled.
Yup. That is the way you fooled me. I perform Skinner's Ultimate 3 Card Monte and now I will practice and incorporate that move into the routine whenever possible. Thank you!!!
What a great way to do it! I've never seen it done like that before. And your right you got me bad showing all 3 lying face down to start. I was like "What the heck" using polite words, just happened! lol. Thanks for sharing that extra little secret. So well done. Cheers from Canada.
I saw a propelled lap in the context of a riffle shuffle in Jon Scarne’s Riffle Shuffle Methods part 2 as Milton Tropp’s Cop. Maybe it’s something of your interest 👍
Very very good performance. Although I know the Skinner-Set I didn’t had no solution. This change was unknown to me. You‘ve totally fooled me. Thank you.
I bought this set for my routine. I have found a way to do a 4 card monte, into the 3 card monte into the this one. I have yet test it in public but it's a lot of practising
Ok, so, I just saw this video show up in my reccomended. I haven't seen how you do 3 Card Monte, but I will say I'm quite the player. I'm that one person in the bar making bets with the sober people each night. I've made quite the chunk of change with my Monte routine. What I'm trying to say is I doubt you'll fool me.
3 card monty should pay 3/2 and it only pays 1/1. Doug, have you ever played a 3 card monty game and beat the game? I would love to try and say I beat it. Does that mean you have a 50/50 chance if you choose one of the other two cards? What would the dealer do in the event where someone chooses the correct card?
HOW!? I even slowed the video down and I still can't figure it out! edit: oh he explained the trick further into the video lol edit2: I imagine there's an optimal viewing angle for this to work live in front of people, but where is it?
Thank you Doug!

Excellent Doug, super performance !! I didn't know about propel vanish... love it, and worth practicing...

A no-table-required handling would make this a true worker for professional walkaround
I think it's pronounced Pro-pell-Ed 🤣🤣🤣
Excellent video.
I remember watching this video and thinking how. I have these gaff cards. You fooled me. I’m definitely going to practice this one.
Best wishes with it!
@@DougConn Thank you.
Excellent performance! Smooth as butter! 👍
Very interesting, I did not think that you would expose this. But you did fool me the first 357 times I watched it!
Yeah, I’m “sharing the wealth” here :)
Wow!! I literally started learning Skinner's U3CM today! That's so crazy... so, of course you totally had me scratching my head at first! lol

You made me remember my love for montes
❤️❤️❤️
Fooled. I watched it a 2nd time to see if you just boldly put the gaff cards out in the open at the start.
Come to India, They do it with carrom striker , and I’m still confused and lost money on that trick once back in school fare
I love this man💙 the ace trick had me fucked up😂😂🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾
😅😅👍👍🙏
Yes it fooled me the very first watch. I'm well aware of it but I wasn't expecting it and was fooled for sure.
Ok then Your home work is to find that Andrus book (& then share it with me!)
@@DougConn I will do my best lol
@@DougConn found paper copies of the lecture notes, is that what you're referring to? It's the same cover as in your video.
Very clever, I love it 😍

And I was right! Actually, that's basically identical to my routine
Well then, we should gamble together!
Brilliant!
Well I can't do magic like you but I can at least play the piano piece you had in the background for the monte. Great stuff :)
I wish I could play piano! And if you’re playing Joplin, you’re doing it right!
@@DougConn It's some great music for sure. Just gives people a good mood. Always fun to listen and play
thats insane thanks!
Wow. I can never say anything more than that. Lol
I'm amazed! But clearly this is not the method used by Joe Monti in fooling Penn and Teller
The work of a demon lol
My b-day was the 24th, you too Doug?
21st for me. Happy Belated!
You too!!!
I know nothing about magic, so chances are you probably definitely tricked me.
Brilliant

Straight on is best but The angles are better than ya might think and note , as always, this stuff plays MUCH better live
@@DougConn Cool, see you on the practice stream.
This guy just talks way too much. So much so, I lost interest in watching it to the end. Life's too short.
I love the trick!
