I like pruning Hinoki cypress for a layering effect so it doesn’t look like a solid bush. Expose the trunk in between the layered branches.

Hi Please answer this question if you know - What is the exact type of Hinoki Cypress is this? is it a Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Gracilis or is it a Cypress - Dwarf Hinoki False Cypress
Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Compacta’ or other type and also do you know the best place to plant it on the slope or doesn't matter . Thank you.
