    Idk why but for some reason it felt like Hikaru today was alwyas in control of the match, even with that final close score. He was chilling on stream and dropped some games when he got sleep in font of the wheel, but never felt on a hurry. He was in control most of the match, but watch the last 5 games (one regulation and 4 OT) with the score tied.

    I like how these two have a Vegeta&Son Goku vibe. They know there are no stronger mfs in this game than them and only a match between them is something that gives them adrenaline

    • @johncombo
      @johncombo 10 месяцев назад +3

      It was double elimination bracket, if you lose once, u get one more chance to get to the finals by beating everyone else.

    • @JimmyBoosterCrate
      @JimmyBoosterCrate 10 месяцев назад +9

      Alireza lost to Hikaru in the winners' finals and so was sent to the losers' finals. There he played Magnus again, and Magnus won, granting him a shot at Hikaru in the grand final. To win the whole event, Magnus would have had to beat Hikaru in two matches, because Hikaru, being undefeated, still had his "extra life".
