    I can't believe this is provided as free content. This is GOLD. I'm currently working through my left hip pain with my PT (it flared up after finishing my half marathon training block and race) and this is exactly what my PT is having me fix. I definitely notice that as my center of mass is shifting back to both sides my left hip is starting to feel a lot better and can see a difference in my overall posture. I can feel my body using new muscles on my left side when I run. There are so many tips on "quick fixes" for hip impingement (like banded mobilization) and honestly for me they caused more flare ups. Getting to the root and understanding the complexity of our bodies is definitely more time consuming and difficult but worth it. TYSM for the great content!!!!!!!!

    Conor, you’re an absolute legend! This is EXACTLY what I have been experiencing for over a decade now. I was diagnosed with Hip CAM morphology on both sides. I had a surgery on my right which i did fully recover from. Now I am suffering from all the imbalances and MSK issues because of my left hip impingement.
    I know you offer multiple courses but do you have any specific program that deals with this condition (hip impingement)? Many thanks.

    Hello Connor, first I want to start off by thanking you. How AMAZING are your videos and very thorough. I’m sure you’re aware that you more than likely are one of very few people that provide these test and details. Thank you, what exactly should I look for in someone helping me with this stuff. You have no idea how much I hurt. I literally just lay in bed now. 34 years old. I’m always RPI (right posterior inferior ilium) last time chiro adjusted me I was rotated posterior left and rotated anterior on right. Please, PLEASE please help me. How can I schedule with you just to get a correct test. I have literally created my own PT after years of everyone clueless and not helping. I’m so exhausted with this. I’ll pay any amount of money to catch a flight and pay you. Prayers please. 😭🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

      The Psoas passes over the hip. If it's tight, rather than glide smoothly over the bone, it 'snaps' suddenly. If your clicking feels like it's at the front, it's probably that. I had the same problem. Conor has some content on here for a tight Psoas Major. Hope this helps.

    Conner! I recently found your infrasternal angle video. I’m a bit confused with my own situation because I present with the wide angle anatomical presentation, but I had the “belly pooch” due to pressure management compensations: is it possible to have a wide infrasternal angle, compressed collapsed sternum and belly pooch? Or is it only with a narrow ISA

    • @NextLevelPhysicalTherapy
      @NextLevelPhysicalTherapy Год назад

      Hey Hannah - this is possible. This is what you see when your center of gravity is moving forward on both sides - or when you have "rib flare" on both. The sternum coming down is an effort to stop you from falling forward by your body.

    • @NextLevelPhysicalTherapy
      @NextLevelPhysicalTherapy Год назад

      @Hannah - the prone on elbows static breathing exercise on our channel would be a good place to start for getting your sternum up.

    If your hip is already in an externalrotation because of this patarn, would that not limit the external rotation on that same side because it's already in that position? Instead of a limited internal rotation?

    • @conorharris
      @conorharris  Год назад +4

      Femur needs to be able to move posteriorly for IR. That’s limited in a baseline AIC pattern because of the pelvic innominate bone position (ER) and the femur being oriented forward in acetabulum. When people “can’t go somewhere they already are”, it’s usually because they are very deep into anterior or posterior tilt of the entire pelvis

For example he refers to people he sees as clients not patients. So that shows me he understands his guidelines and chooses to ignore them anyway.

      100% correct. Conor Harris is not a physical therapist or orthopaedic specialist, and should not be perceived as such. The problem is most non-medically trained people do not know who to trust on such matters and they get blinded by people who appear to hold relevant knowledge, even if this is not the case.
