- A quick rundown on the TD42 engine setup in our 1992 GQ Patrol.
Rebuilt about 25,000kms ago
12mm Boost compensated pump
3076 turbo at around 36psi on highmount manifold
upgraded injectors
Patroldocta 4inch stainless snorkel and airbox with AEM offroad filter
3.5 inch stainless dump pipe into straight through 3.5inch stainless exhaust
600x300 PWR front mount intercooler with 2.5 inch hot side and 3 inch cold side piping
Custom made intake manifold
UFI clutch
Was dyno tuned a while back on 4.1 diff gears, 35 inch tyres and before intercooler upgrade, inlet manifold upgrade, exhaust and a few other things and made 200rwhp on 21psi.
Now running 4.6 GU diffs and 36-38psi
Fuel Economy
Best 11L/100kms
Average (Fully loaded for camping with rooftop tent etc) 13L/100km
Worst ive ever seen 4wding etc is around 16-17L/100kms
Runs between 85-95 Celsius engine temp
Sits about 270-290 at 110kph on pyrometer and gets to about 450-470 holding it on boost up hills.
