From the bottle being used, does the rub go into the the solution or do u have a setup. I notice when I leave the tube inside it floats to the top and I get air pockets. How can I fix this
There is no way to add decimals with the reefbeat app when setting up the doser. I noticed the video just skips right over this and enters 4 and not 4.2. How is this accomplished?
You can put decimals when calibrating the head. If that's not the case send some screenshots to our support, they will figure it out with you. g1.redseafish.com/support/tech-support-inquiry-2021/
Hi im trying to set up 4 doser red sea im priming and when i go to the app it says how many mL is in the bottle i put 1000mL but it wont let me save that what should i do because i couldnr finish priming stage @5mL per day for Pennisula 500 i work at pet store which has this tank and im setting up doser for it
I am curious to know is their a maximum length in which the intake tube should be and hence the distance in which the dosing container should be from the dosing unit. The reason I ask is that I want to place the dosing containers about 2 meters away from the dosing unit. Just worried their may be side affects, possibly inaccurate dosing?
I love the ReefBeat app. It's very modern looking and intuitive compared to apps like Fusion or Mobius. It could be a bit faster though, and connecting new devices could be a better experience if I wouldn't need to turn off 5Ghz WiFi to do it. Should have went with BT pairing, much better UX.
@Frggg Ggdsedd yes, but with BT pairing so you don't need to do the whole wifi dance to connect. The ReefDose can just get wifi connection details over BT instead.
So I hooked mine up with the input on the left and output in the right, and shaft is turning clockwise. What would cause it to actually pump backwards? When priming it was blowing bubbles in the container. So I reversed the output and input and it seems to work fine.

2m is fine, they can handle much more. You calibrate the pump at that length and it will make the proper corrections. (it at all needed)
Can you calibrate the pumps with a gram scale?
You can, if you know your solution's density. Otherwise same volumes of different solutions will have different weights.
Why the reef doser is not calibrated from the factory
That's an excellent question, it's because every liquid has a different viscosity and will drop a different volume per head spin.

Thank you for your input.
Not true wifi is better so you get notified for malfunctions when youre away

@@DillondeVoor what happens if ur doser malfunctions but u dont get notifixation because your not home since its bluetooth

I lost 3 devices after a recently firmware update 2 Doser4 and 1 Doser2, I wrote to the technical support and feedback is zero

Can it dose really slow, like dripping 1ml/min?
There are 3 dosing flow rates: Whisper 15ml/min, Regular 30ml/min, Turbo 45 ml/min.
@@Redseafish15ml is the minimum?? It cant do 0.1ml?
Why release app update and how to videos. When we cant even get them yet. Strange.
Would you have rather get them and have no app update and no "how to"? You will be able to get the pumps within a few days depending on the market.
