    Switch the color to polymetal gray, add red leather interior and this is exactly like my 2021 turbo hatch. While not perfect, (gas tank is too small, rear seats are NOT for full sized adults😂) it's probably the best all around car I've ever owned, and that includes an Acura TSX, Acura TLX and VW GTI among a few other boring cars I wont mention. The thrust of the turbo engine never fails to lift my spirits, and it really is satisfying to drive on a twisty two lane backroad. Some of the competition have better gas mileage, backseat/cargo room and things like that, but none can touch the Mazda 3 interior and Bose sound system. When someone is shopping for a compact car Mazda is always heart over head...but is that really a bad thing?😉

    Did I just see the parking brake disengage when you put it into gear? I have to tap the accelerator pedal after putting it into gear to get it to turn off in my 2021. I want this update in my car.

    • @jbm0866
      @jbm0866 6 месяцев назад

      Same for my 2021, but I've gotten used to it. One really cold morning (parked outside, it's usually garaged) it took two taps to disengage which is kinda worrisome, but it's never repeated so I didn't bother taking it to the dealer. (They would just say "it's normal" anyway)

    Is that wheelspin at 7:46 because it's one of those "pretend" AWD systems that only engages the rear wheels after the computer detects the front wheels have lost traction?

    • @thegiant17
      @thegiant17 Год назад +6

      No, it's because of the insane torque this car has. Even Subaru WRX's break traction when doing launches... and to be clear they have very similar 0-60 times. You may be underestimating how fast these systems kick in. The only real downside to these systems is the fact that if pushed for too long they can overheat... something that you'll never get close to in daily driving, but could start to push if you were doing endurance rally cross.
      It's not pretend AWD. It's just a haldex style system.

    • @jonathanb2325
      @jonathanb2325 Год назад

      so if i would to take it to some mountain roads then potentially the awd would overheat? or not quite ?

      That’s all awd systems in most non off-road cars. That’s why they have clutches so they can vary amount of power going to rear if at all

    Does this version of Mazda have wireless Apple Carplay? Or did he already have it plugged-in?

    • @tigerhawk84
      @tigerhawk84 2 года назад +6

      the 2022 mazda3 does not yet have wireless carplay or AA. Source: Me, I own a fully loaded 2022 turbo. You can get a usb adapter for wireless off amazon for like 10 bucks though and it works just fine. Not a big deal imho.
      I believe the next-gen infotainment has it, like the CX-50.

      Because you didn’t. Stock SkyActiv Turbo is quite quiet for a reason, going for more of that luxury feel. The SRI upgrades that are common within the Mazda community bring it to life.

    Three things prevent me from buying one of these today; I hate the info screen being so high up. It is a distraction and too bright at night. Two; No manual transmission...WHY? Three; power parking brake? C'mon lets keep some things simple, unnecessary electronics. Mazda killed the zoom-zoom. Enthusiasts are not buying.

    • @lukeheffernan
      @lukeheffernan 2 года назад +2

      Very few cars made today still have a physical handbrake. I actually like the screen higher up because it's more in my field of vision than if it were down low. It is bright, though - I have to adjust in settings pretty often. To each their own!

    • @Flagrum3
      @Flagrum3 2 года назад

      @@lukeheffernan Handbrakes...So because everyone is doing it now Mazda should follow? They've gone to electronic because its cheaper and they've gone the wrong way. The screen is way too high, they can bring it down equal to the main instrument panel or slightly lower like Subaru did with the BRZ...Its perfect. Secondly, it distracts drivers being too high and you shouldn't be looking at the screen anyways, you should be looking at the road.
