  • The Coronavirus, or CoVID-19 has changed the way students apply and get accepted into UC Schools such as UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UCLA and more! I go over the most news and significant changes that were implemented this week in response to CoVID-19 and Coronavirus and how they might affect you, whether an incoming first year, or a sophomore or junior thinking about applying to a UC school.

What does this mean for current Sophmores in highschool? I see they are taking the pass/fail instead of letter grades currently for rising highschool senior, but what about rising highschool juniors? By the year 2022, will everything be back to normal or will it stay with the pass/fail system?

So I got accepted into uc davis today ima transfer student from community college but I’m worried because I’m currently taking one of the requirements classes which is Spanish 101 but I don’t want to take the class right now because of all the requirements with zoom and being on camera so I’m gonna take the challenge by exam is it possible to not take this language requirement and still have no problem in getting in because of Co-Vid-19?

How will this year's winter through summer classes grades be evaluated for someone who will be applying in 2022?

But for the pass or no fail, wont they still see the grades, won’t we have to give them our transcripts.

UC accepts pass/no pass, but what if your high school is still doing letter grades? will they just count it as a pass no pass or what it is?

Quick UC Davis admissions question (unrelated to COVID-19), I am an out of state high school student planning to apply later this year, I am duel enrolled in a community college and a large portion of my classes are taken there. I read somewhere that UC schools will not accept these college courses as honors credit for out of state students. I'm worried how this might affect my GPA when being compared to other applicants. Please please please offer your insight.

Sounds like universities are dumbing down the requirement for enrollment in order to get more money by indebted students with massive loans for unmarketable degree (expect engineering).

I think colleges should start moving away from standardized testing because of the disadvantages some people have.
