    Very cool build, unique. Can you please elaborate on the industrial grade double sided sticky tape? That sounds very intriguing & I would like to pick some up

    • @AirsoftAfterHours
      @AirsoftAfterHours  5 лет назад

      Thanks buddy! There are a few different companies that make the industrial strength tape that is suitable, if buying from the UK, Halfords used to stock the tape and it was used to mount car number plates without screws. A few hardware stores also stock them and we purchased a roll that was quoted as 10kg strength, we tested a small strip on a tin of 2kg dog food and it mounted to a wall for days!
      Be careful of fake strong tape as there is an endless supply of them, we've given up buying 3M tape as there is millions of fake 3M tape floating around online and you never know it's fake until you buy it. The tape we used in this video was also unfortunately fake, the sight slowly unrolled itself off the barrel which is why the sight isn't present when we test fire at the end of the video.
      The real stuff can stick a 10kg plate to a wall and it will stay there!
      Lastly, when buying the tape make sure you look at the specification as some seriously strong tape can be up to 5mm thick.
      Sorry for the long write up but hope it helps! ^^

    Are you running a after market outer barrel or did you cut it?

    • @AirsoftAfterHours
      @AirsoftAfterHours  5 лет назад +1

      It’s a PDi bull barrel base, without any other outer barrel attached, just a threaded barrel end cap for a tracer unit.
      Our previous short barrel rifle was cut and threaded by ourselves and can be seen in some of our other videos.
      Thanks for viewing!

      @@AirsoftAfterHours I saw on another video using the AA cylinder you used a 13mm spring (which didn't work) and in the comments replying to someone you claimed it was the 7mm spring guide you used - I don't think this combination would work. In the video here when you put the spring guide in (not sure what this one was but assuming 7mm) it fit quite flush with the cylinder. I mean should I just be safe and go 7/11 or opt for another cylinder. Anyway, Thank you very much for replying and hope you are well! Many Thanks, Stucyn 😀

    • @AirsoftAfterHours
      @AirsoftAfterHours  4 года назад

      Joao Carlos
      It’s almost true, there are only a few tiny parts which require sourcing, one being the small screws that hold the hop-up block to the hop up unit and maybe the stock (getting clone stocks is easy, getting aftermarket stocks is also no problem now that Maple leaf have released the MLC-S1 but if you want a stock made by Tokyo Marui they are sometimes hard to find.

      @AirsoftAfterHours  4 года назад

      @@tswdev
      I would suggest outlining the build you are aiming to achieve and then designing from the drawing board. First steps to consider could be:
      1) Rifle purpose
      2) Joule/FPS limit you are restricted to.
      3) Budget
      Following the parts in my build wouldn't be any good since mine was designed to be a quiet office rifle with a short manageable barrel and fps close to 430. Your desire may be to have a deadly accurate rifle as close to the joule limit as your country allows. The one part I would definitely with our a doubt have again in any build is the SCW Triggers, they really are insane. In a future build I will be hoping to use a W.A.S.P. Piston, they seem very very good quality.
