    That point about Celest having the pedigree of Kinera is so on point, nice insight! Also, I think you'd enjoy delving into Kinera sets, they offer not only unique and beautiful designs, but unique tunings as well. Phoenixcall and Hodur are some of the more interesting and fun sets in my collection, there's not really anything else like them.

      Both the Phoenixcall and the Hodur are on my short list. I’m gonna go with the Phoenix first. In fact that may very well be my next purchase…

      The Phoenixcall is highly recommended! Thanks for the review of the Kinera Celest Plutus Beast! 😃🎶🎵

    So these will be alright for 70s prog turned up to 11? Or 1100? I think I have the idea, not sure how the softer vocal and instrumental passages will fare, but they tend to be small segments in the midst of insanity..I am coming to the conclusion that I am actually a basshead. Was arguing with someone who said qkz hbb is too bassy, I said they barely have enough.. And it turns out, everyone thinks it has tons of bass..

      @@wahid-lg1kk it’s strange isn’t it? Sometimes I’m a full on basshead, but I’m not just a basshead. I’ve definitely felt that some sets people thought lacked bass, did not for me, other times it’s the opposite. I think I just like quality bass and at least some kick. But then again I have a sub in my car and I put the wrong pads + rubber bands on my Athena so she would vibrate. lol. WTF is that?

      @@BassDad8 I don't know, but I find I am sympathetic.. I also enjoy classical stuff on my planars, and I eq for clarity.. Which means, not much bass.. Next minute I am grumbling, because my skull is not vibrating to 'Heart of the Sunrise' by Yes... So I have decided I need seperate basshead sets.. Yes, I am admitting to bassheadedness.. Doscinco, eventually, I suppose, or Legato maybe.. The thing is, I want texture and harmonics, not one note bass

      The TA-22 has unleashed the full potential of this set. They go really, really deep with it.

    Is the bone conduction on this set unique enough to consider getting it first before stuff like the F1 pro or EA500LM?

    • @BassDad8
      @BassDad8  11 месяцев назад +2

      Strictly from a SQ standpoint it’s the F1 Pro all day. Is the Beast unique enough? Sure it is. But if you asked me the order in which I’d pick them, I’d say F1P,KCPB,EA500LM. I have the LM in right now and I am slowly warming up to it…

      @@BassDad8 appreciate it, respect, now I know I'd rather just jump to F1 pro

    Got the plutus beast in today and idk not to impressed honestly. They aren't bad by no means though. The Doscinco has spoiled me now.

      Give em a chance. Let your brain adjust a little. They have great energy to them.

      Having said that, I have no idea how good the Doscinco is… so maybe it’s just not a fair fight

      @@BassDad8 yeah they are just catching me off guard a bit. It's a different sound. I'm going through my metal to give them a chance. For me the doscinco has set the bar. I let my dad listen to them compared to my quartet and he could immediately tell a difference and he isn't even a avid listener to music.

      @@roguegorilla8981 Kinera sets, in general, have a different style tuning. They tend to grow on you over time. And they’re anything but boring. It took me a minute as well. No, they’re not perfect, but I think they’re a pretty fun listen 🤘 Enjoy the Hipdac3! That internal battery does make a difference.
