    I finally understand that the old cable needs to be cut at the pump point. For over a year I could not get my brain around it, until I say your video. Thank you!

      Yes, you can use to old cable to pull in the new cable. Thanks for watching!

    Liked the video especially how you went through your own particular set up! I am assuming that the electrical in the base of the fountain is at a height in which water cannot flow in it..Great vid thanks!

      Thanks! Yes, you're correct the electrical pvc pipe at the bottom of the pedestal is higher than the water level.

    Thanks for the great video! We have a similar fountain (and pump), but I have an off-topic question. By chance, do you have any recommendations for keeping the door in front of the pump closed? We have some curious raccoons who come by often, and they push open the door, and have even pulled out the pump! I need access to the pump, so I can’t seal the door. I’ve tried wedges, wrapping rope around the base/door, but they eventually still open the door! Just wondering if you have any ideas? Thanks again for your informative video!

      I would place a brick or some other heavy object in front of the door. That way you don't block the water flow to the pump but it will keep out unwanted visitors. You might also use zip ties to secure the door. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Thank you for the informative video. In the video I thought you referenced that the replacement pump had a 16' cord but the link to Amazon shows one with a 6' cord. I am trying to find a replacement pump with as long of a cord as possible (16' would be great). I appreciate any advice. Thank you.

      Hey David - The below link is to a pump that has a 15' cord. Hope that helps!

      @@TheEndGrainWorkshop Thank you so much for your quick response and link. Unfortunately the opening in my fountain for the pump limits it to about 4" so this pump is too big. It seems all the pumps in that size range only have a 6' long cord.

    You have to do everything step by step and you will succeed. You must disconnect everything from PC protection. Thank you, Tutorials Buddy

    thanks for video. very helpful. bought new house and need to replace fountain motor. still trying to figure out how to disassemble for cleaning. i removed the caulking and tried to spin the top off but the top piece is locked in place while the lower pieces can spin freely but cannot remove because of the top piece

    Is it the same pump that do both the drainage and the pumping to the pool?

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop  Год назад

      No it’s a smaller submersible pump similar to a fish tank pump. There’s a link in the video description to the pump. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Is there a workaround if the new pumps power cord head doesn't fit through the pipe it needs to fit through?

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop  4 месяца назад

      You can cut the male adapter off the cord, then feed it thru your pipe. Afterwards you could install a new male adapter. See link below. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    What about the cut out why don't it let water to the in side off the fountain

    • @TheEndGrainWorkshop
      @TheEndGrainWorkshop  Год назад

      The cut out allows water to flow inside the fountain pedestal where the pump is located. Thanks.

    Cannot believe you didn't clean out the basin of the lower tear. It was filled with all kinds of debris that could clog and damage the new pump that you just put in... It makes the water look nasty🙄

      Actually I did along with all three tiers just didn't want to bore everyone by putting it in the video. I also added a one inch chlorine tablet to the bottom basin to keep the water sparkling clean. ✨
