      unfortunately its basically totally worthless to try and sue chinese manufacturers like aliexpress, alibaba, etc. where this type of knock off merch is mostly sold. this is because the chinese court system does not give two shits about copyright and will not enforce any consequences, and you cant really sue them in the US since they have no assets in that country
      unfortunately this is something internet artists cannot combat, you only have a chance at suing if the company that took from you is based in the same country (and that the country even takes these things seriously in the first place)

    Not really an artist, but I feel ya around 12:21 with the balls. My brain absolutely loves symmetry and patterns, so I would definitely not have been able to do this. Absolutely phenomenal work in the end, I'll definitely be sharing your stuff around.
    Best I've got on my plate is renders of my Bionicle characters. Any modeling from scratch has been robots, mostly because that's what I like and it's relatively simple geometry. I'm honestly a little scared to even try organic stuff, since I like to use precise angles and straight lines.

  • @3173_Delta
    @3173_Delta 10 месяцев назад +315

    I think I prefer the original, based purely on the ball size...
    On average ball pit balls are 7.5cm in diameter, while a human face is 15cm in width, meaning if you put two balls in front of your face horizontally, they would reach from one ear to another.
    Now springtrap's face in the redraw is like 7 balls wide 😟 (and I picked the biggest ball near him to measure)
    Given he has roughly human proportions that would make him 6 meters or 20 feet tall, and that is very uncanny...

    Cool art but I think a ball pit reference(with scale) would do you some good. Ball pit balls are like the diameter of about the palm of your hand, or bigger. The balls in the drawing, with context of how big springtrap's head is, are closer to the size of golfballs. Drawing a huge pile of colored balls is definitely a flex but you could've done it with a third of the balls and it would probably look better.

    I always believed digital art was less special due to the extreme amount of tools provided by software, and the ability to create it faster and undo mistakes with a click of a button... But oh my god does your art make me rethink that whole mindset of mine? This peace is phenomenal in every way, and I am grateful to have witnessed you paint this on this video. Truly remarkable. Well done!

    • @Its_Asteria
      @Its_Asteria 10 месяцев назад +15

      All mediums of art are special in their own way. There's different methods but if you truly want something to turn out well digitally, you have to use the right things for that particular style you're going for.
      I'm glad you were able to rethink that. Another thing to think about is animation. Animation is mostly done digitally as it is more efficient but it still has to have a lot of work and detail put into it! Some art programs are also harder to use than others.
      Hope that adds to what you've said here.

    Some advice i can give as a student at an art school is to try to not make all the shapes on the circles so clear, like the front ones can be perfect but the ones in the back you can make them blend in or not so clear, i love your artworks im not at your level and this is only advice on a compositional standpoint! Its so sad to see stolen artwork though :(

    I hate that your art was stolen but thank you for making such an iconic piece of art even if you think it has errors.
    I have an attention issue so I unfortunately can't get myself to continue to watch the video because the awesome music you choose is just very catchy and over shadows what you're trying to say and I want to listen to your words too 😢. (Is that first one Crash Bandicoot by the way?) I'm not trying to be critical or anything, make videos as you like them but if by chance it helps I wanted to mention that it was difficult to listen to both you and the music so maybe if it is playing a little quieter than your voice while you're talking can keep the energy up and the viewers can hear you well. Of course I'm just passing by so do as your see fit, it could just be me. I'm very interested to hear your process though
