FAQs regarding this video (I hope this helps clarify some things I didn't mention): Why Wand/Dagger would fall off late-game on a competitive server with good players: 1. Wand/Dagger bombing is not viable late-game against competent players. If you are on a server with not many skilled or aware players, then Wand/Dagger bombing will likely work and you can have the time of your life from early game to late game playing it. However, if you focus on bombing, you are now a DPS first and a healer second, so I'd add a Wand/Staff healer to your group so you can DPS bomb combo and provide sub-heals if needed. 2. When T2 gear hits Global, the T2 Nocturne wand can be used to apply CmC stacks to players while invisible. So instead of bombing which is unreliable against good players, you can instead casts Cursed Magic Circle (CMC), and move around the enemy ball stealthed applying stacks of your cursed DoT. If you get more then 2 stacks on someone, you could try to attempt a sleep bomb, but just applying curse stacks from your CmC while invisible to 30-50+ players is more than enough contribution to help get them killed. I hope this added clarity helps! Why Wand/Longbow fell off?: I used to main Wand/Bow for 3 months. When the game first launched, Wand/Bow was the most popular specc so from the beginning it was the most talked about as the main healer build. When people started playing Wand/SnS more they realized you can live forever so some people began transitioning to Wand/SnS. They further learned it had amazing peels with chain pulls and pushes, so you could already with this protect your teammates besides heals in a way Wand/Longbow can't do. When second resistance skills were added, people started testing Wand/Staff more because it got a pull that had no max range limit. After lots of testing, people realized being able to pull someone from 20-23 metres away is insanely valuable and helpful in peeling for your team, removing them from direct danger. This is something Wand/Longbow can't do that. On top of that, they realized having more Staves, even though they're secondary DPS compared to Dagger/Staff mage mains, was really valuable cus it's more AoE damage which helps a lot in weakening enemies and thinning their numbers. Another thing Wand/Longbow can't do. In the end, Wand/Longbow gained no buffs that compared to Wand/Staff and Wand/SnS, and no T2 weapons either that compared, so Wand/Longbow just got left behind. All this can change with Tripod system so don't worry.
Thanks for the video. I saw you put high mana sustain as a pro for wand/dagger, how is that? Just from the mana regen from dagger Q block or are you relying on killing things to proc the passives for mana regen?
Hi, yes! So there is a tech with Assassin's step. By just tagging a mob, if it dies to anyone and you can be like 50-80 metres away from that target, you will get the Assassin's Step buff no matter what, which also grants you the Mana Regen buff and no Mana Cost perk. So what Wand/Dagger's typically do is tag clumps with CmC and multiple targets with Dagger Throw so they can perma keep the buff up during an exchange. Stealth also helps, but it's really the Stealth perks and this buff working together that provides the build with the strong Mana Regen.
@@EliEli.MMOPVP Thanks for the response! I didn't realize it worked like that, the wording of the passive makes it sound like you have to be the one to kill the mob to gain the passive. That's nice to know. What stealth perks are you talking about that help with mana regen btw? or do you just mean the ability to go in stealth and wait for mana.
@@tre632 No worries! Also, the stealth perk is from the same passive. When the buff from the passive is active, the next skill you use cost no mana. So it just further helps with Mana sustain.
Question. In most materials we see a lot of people saying that Bow/Wand is the must combo to go for healers cause of the Blitz combo with the AoE heal. What caused those changes for the Bow falling out so quickly? Did buffs or even nerfs happened in this middle period of the release of the T1, T2 and Global? It makes me curious cause if in the game release on Global, the SnS/Wand will already be the must be meta, or still going for Bow/Wand. I was going to be Wand/Bow cause of the recommendations of people since I want to main healer, but seems like I will be going for Wand/SnS. Aslo, does that also applies for PvE or only for PvP?

Thank you! I do but I don't have it in a build or written anywhere. There are some unique things to consider when building for Wand/SnS. I'm working on a stat explanation video now and it should help with building. I can help with more specific Wand/SnS builds as well later in the week.
For sure! It will likely be one of the best healer builds after tonight's weapon overhaul patch. I'll be streaming it all tonight if you want to tune in.
@@EliEli.MMOPVP Thanks. I will be duoing with most likely a GS/SNS tank, hopefully able to hold our own in small man as a roaming duo. Do you think Wand/Dagger would synergize better with that, or Wand/SNS? Or alternatively, would it be better to roam with a 2nd DPS, like Xbow/Dag or something like that rather than trying to have some support?
@@EliEli.MMOPVP Interesting - I tested both and I feel like I enjoyed Wand/Dagger a tiny bit more. I'm leaning towards Wand/Dagger to support his high DPS while bringing a little bit of my own, but will feel it out at launch I guess.
@@turanoral No worries! Wand/SnS is ideally better since they can just livelord with Mid and Late game gear, and you have best peels. 1 question, not about healer. But what about dagger+wand as DPS character, with T2 weapon nocturne, may it be good in small scale pvp or large scale pvp?
@@Laimuloz that wand is ideal for Wand/Dagger’s wanting to be more offensive. You’d cast Cursed Magic Circle (CMC) and then go stealth and walk into the enemy ball spreading the CMC curse while invis. It won’t take you out of stealth. Works in small and large.
Healers 1000% necessary for PvE or people will die. Rankings atm would be Wand/Staff > Wand/Longbow > Wand/Dagger. Wand/SnS I won't add because if you're a Wand/SnS healing a dungeon you can and should Heal and Tank to provide the most value to your dungeon group, allowing your team to pickup another DPS.

Usual stats would be Perception > Strength > Wisdom. It will depend on the gear you're using. Typically you want to aim for 50 STR, 50 Wis, 60 Perception late game. 30 STR, 40 WIS, and 50+ Percep earlygame/T1.
