I had something similar-ish Back in a house I lived in, to catch the school bus, there was this bush I had to walk by. For whatever reason, that specific bush made me so uneasy. Didn't help that I had to be out usually before the sun was up. Coulda sworn I saw an arm in it one time, but I never did see anything in that bush during the daylight hours The hole in the wall in this video gives me that *exact* same feeling and I hate it (in a good way)
There's the narrative and thematic component to it, of course, but I really love the fact that our protagonist makes photo albums and collects tapes of this weird show. It really humanizes her in a way that I don't often see in analog horror. I like that she has these interests and hobbies. Makes her feel like a person as opposed to just a vessel for the narrative. I think that's part of why these tapes get to me so much. Great videos! Super excited to see more :~)
What an oddly comforting video, I used to have two imaginary friends as a child similar to this dog, but they were both cats, and one of them wore the same exact flannel shirt. I’m not joking, this really took me back and struck me in a way I didn’t think it would. Almost in the way those little commercials (forgive me I don’t know their origin) put dog heads over human bodies, I used to do the same exact thing as a kid with people all the time with cat heads. You took something I loved as a child that I had forgotten about and added a different but interesting perspective to it. It reminds me just how weird kids can be. I love It, amazing job!
Ok this is one of the weirdest sources of inspiration I’ve ever had but after reading this comment I started forming an idea surrounding these two cat-humans who are the spirits of two girls who were part of a cult that tore them apart. I’ve been doing a lot of concept art and story building over the past week for this and wanted to know if I ever make this project would you be alright with that? I know what I’ve been working on differs from your story and that you probably wont see this but I felt I should at least try to reach out since your comment was the catalyst for this idea.
god this makes me feel so gross and icky. reminds me of how people replace their abusers face with masks because they cant handle the real human face. might just be a projection. i feel like this is probably a family member (maybe emilys dad) that the mother knew did something bad so she wont let them in the house anymore and had to warn emily. but i guess he found a way in anyways. the drawing if the guy outside the door makes me feel so gross :( poor emily.
I definitely feel like it's a metaphor. As creepy as a potential ghost/psycho wearing a dog head would be, something about it just being her mind trying to block out the memory of an abuser's face makes it more uneasy for me .. though that might be because of my own childhood, I guess
WOWWWWW that was just, oh my god. The first half of this felt very ASMR-y, with the use of sounds like the crinkly, crunchy paper and the camera’s white noise plus that early RUclips 144p quality was very 🤌 and the second half of it absolutely had me on the edge of my seat. That moment the camera panned to the stairs in the movie scene made me jump! And the uneasy anticipation when we first meet our new pal at the staircase. It was so good! Excellent :)! I can’t wait to see more of Dog Nightmares 🐶
Gearsiko brought me here. It’s honestly baffling how good this series turned out to be. I have gotten rather desensitized to horror nowadays (sorry if this is something you might have heard so many times from others) yet the Dogman scene here has to be one of the creepiest scenes I had ever witnessed. Edit #1: Ok, so it seems like this comment, along with the other comment I made in another video was getting more likes, so I just want to leave this overlooked detail here. During the montage of journal entries, one moment that stands out is 7:49. While the dogman's introduction was already as disturbing as it was, this moment somehow makes this whole situation even more upsetting. We know that the dogman has been stalking Emily for a while, but could this moment imply that Emily saw Bailey strangled in front of her?
Oh God, "he's still out there" taking on a whole new meaning I think the guy pictured is what the dogman looks like without the dog-ness. I also think he's the guy in that one polaroid looking like he's breaking in. "He's still out there" isn't a hopeful reminder to keep looking for a lost pet It's a warning he was never caught
That sequence at 11:32 shook me to my core, I never thought I'd get scared of RUclips horror again, yet here we are. Looking forward to what you create next!!
As someone who grew up in a family with five Weimaraners, William Wegman was a huge part of my childhood. I never expected to see it in a creepy light, but this is great!

Something about that ending part of watching the tape was so well done. God has it been a while since a web series genuinely creeped me out like this! Love what you’re doing with this series, it really takes me back to the more grittier, realistic found footage style of the old horror classics such as Marble Hornets and early EverymanHYBRID, but honestly even better and creepier. Subbed!
maybe I'm misreading something but that moment at 12:06 with the drawing switched the entire mood for me from terrifying to adorable. how did you do that
This, I don't know what to say, but this is what analog horror SHOULD be, it's Quiet but it still leaves you at the edge of your seat! I like what your doing and I love this series, you my friend are the king of horror. 👍👍
been a fan of ARGs/internet horror for over 13 years now and i haven't been this impressed with a concept in a while. you guys, this isn't just another "analog horror" series. it's fresh, weird, unique, and it LOOKS good to boot. all the subtle details like the notepaper crumpling and uncrumping as a transition between notes, the very slight body horror in that picture of bailey turning his head, the bait and switch with the gift being completely normal, the early-youtube feel of the windows movie maker text on the screen. the fact that this might be the first series to have a convincing child's voiceover. all of it. the perfectly rectangular crawlspace in the wall, and that reveal... deeply unsettling without trying too hard to be scary. the subtle hints that the dog person may have replaced a human...and the overarching mystery of bailey's disappearance. excellent storytelling, i almost don't believe this is your first project. i am beyond excited for this series.
This was the first analogue horror I've watched that actually made me look behind me a couple of times + made me feel on edge for the entire night, not to mention, that image of the creepy dog is now stuck in my head, this is now one of my personal favourites I've ever watched :)
I don't know if it's just bc of having Cynophobia, but holy shit the part around 11 minutes in actually got me more than I think any analogue horror has in a while lmao.
My mind had completely removed those wegman skits, I thought I had imagined them. Since this series revolves around bringing up that repressed childhood trauma, I now wonder what an analogue horror series on the head guy from art attack would look like. Great series btw, had me scrolling down in the comments to avoid looking at the screen like a baby 10/10
YESSSSSSS THIS IS AMAZING! GOD the stair scene turned out so fucking good!! And the bit at the end with the dog fisherman covering his face was seamless! You done a fuckin' amazing job c:
I can see why the stairs have been such a contention point. just, wow, a gaping dark hole by the stairs is terrifying. I get freaked out even when doors are slightly cracked, and now remembering a similar hole in my childhood friend's basement. we were pretty freaked out about it too. it lead to a crawlspace under the house and didn't have any good lighting to it. I loved those dog people shows when I was a kid, but turning a horror angle to it feels so natural.
Holy frag grenades! That is terrifying! One of the most terrifying ever! Like throw up from fear terrifying. I could barely look at the hole in the wall part with the dog monster!
It's one thing to be scary, but it takes even more to be intriguing. This does a great job taking a strange subject (beautiful sassy dogs) and making so many questions out of it, and more importantly, making us care about them.
I haven't felt genuinely unsettled about anything since I was a little kid, but the part towards the end unsettled me to no end. Fantastic work, that will stick with me for a while.
This episode is really good. I really like seeing the improvement in story telling and how much more is told to the viewer in this episode. The sound design also is pretty creepy and adding it to the uncanny (this word sucks lol) visuals it makes this episode really really interesting and pretty creepy. I also love how "odd" this story is so far. Unique story, unique premise (to my knowledge at least) , creepy visuals, love it :)
Through watching and re-watching this video, and gleaming some insight from other commenters I am just left on the brink tears, honestly. I'm not sure if I'm scared or crestfallen. But something about this series is hitting particularly hard. gods- uh .. good work.
i have no clue why but the way that dog thing moves in the hole is so horrifying. ive seen similar scenes but none can match that scene. great job on this whole series so far! :)
Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Pardon my language, but this is genuinely one of the scariest fuckin analog horror videos I've ever seen. Not only is the concept alone scary, but the fact that the series revolves around a kid and her dog really fucks with me. This is very well done.
This series is so original too. I'm so used to the generic tropes of analog horror nowadays that it just doesn't scare me anymore. Then this gem came out and made me extremely uncomfortable. It also took the feeling of uncanny valley with the original Wegman's Dogs skits from Sesame Street and took it to a whole new level by making this entity possibly demonic in nature. The disappearance of the protagonist's dog, the fact it's not in any of the photos yet the protagonist can clearly see it, etc. There's a lot of potential with this series and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes next!
you've captured something here, its like i'm a child again trapped in my nightmares, stuck in dark rooms and some big bad monster is lurking there. i love this so much and i am so thankful you made this.
I LOVED THIS CHANNEL RIGHT WHEN IT CAME OUT,BUT,WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT WEGMAN DOG THING ACTUALLY EXISTED,WATCHED IT,I BROKE OUT INTO A COLD SWEAT AND THIS CHANNEL ACTUALLY STARTED SCARING ME MORE... ITS STILL AN AMAZING CHANNEL AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE IT
god this is amazing. just when i fell out of horror and analog horror, something that used to scare the shit out of me, became a total nothing to me, this is yanking me right back in! fantastic and so excited to see more!
maybe a small detail but i loved how before we saw the full image during the storybook, it read as "and i am left alone to play all by myself, to open the door to strangers"
CHILLLLSSSSS THIS IS SO GOOD IM SO INVESTED!!! There’s so much talent and love put into this and it really shows. A standing ovation to the creator of this series, can’t wait to see what comes next!!!! 💛🫶🔆
Woah...I just watched all your videos today...I cannot wait to see more, you got another subscriber! I got to say though, the editing was really well done, felt cinematic, especially the ending.
The last picture makes me think that perhaps the dogman is someone the child (/adult looking at TV) knows, someone close to them. The tv is them looking back on that childhood, horrified and reminded of what they faced as they see those tapes. I hear stories of abusive parents killing their children’s pets. Perhaps the dogman is a parent, or someone close enough to them to act sort of like one. The dog head could be a metaphorical representation of how they wish to deceive the child into a false sense of safety. OR, it could be something literal, they killed the dog and are wearing its head (or killed A Dog and are wearing its head). I could probably be projecting though LOL
She points at a photo of a puppy and says "thats me," I think this backs up your theory - the dog sort of seems to be a father figure. She only mentions her mother in the story book
This is so well done! I was amazed by the papercraft specifically, it’s a direction I’ve never seen any other analog horror series take. It hit me much more personally too, as someone who’s grown up with schizophrenia and paranoia surrounding old photos and videos. On a side note, I thought the picture where Bailey’s head was snapped around was just a creepy dog face, instead of a disfigured one. I’m not sure if that was intentional or not but man did it send chills down my spine.. I can’t wait to see where this series goes!
Oh, this rules. I'm delighted to see something _unique_ come out of analog horror. It's surreal, scary, and so clever in its execution that it leaves me feeling like I need a shower afterwards. Great stuff, champ; excited to see more!
don't worry guys he's just got that dog in him. (but also the scene where the protagonist goes into the hole in the wall is so perfect aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. we already have this feeling of a distant threat from the "dog" from previous entries plus the constant highlighting of the stairs. so to just finally show us the "dog" with such a bloodcurdling moment is amazing, i literally had to mute the video the first time because i was so scared shitless by the breathing pared with the visuals. analog horror always tends to fall to the same issues and tropes but this manages to be one of the best and original series I've seen for a while. amazing fucking work dude. )
really hoping theres more layers to this. if it turns out to be as shallow as "ooOOoO spooky wegmans dog man!!" im going to be slightly dissapointed. but im seeing the possibility of "false memories of a traumatic event in the main characters childhood where the wegmans dog became associated with the person who is the source of their trauma and took their place in their memories" kinda vibe because there seems to be a good bit of evidence to support this. shocked i havent seen anyone talk about that possibility.. the use of traumacore-esque censoring and replacing faces with innocent animals in the picture book so they dont look as threatening as if those family members could be a possible source of trauma as well to a lesser degree was the first major giveaway to me. but now hear me out what if they did that to their actual memories, not just the scrapbooks. The memory of the persons face is so mentally straining theyd rather just imagine them to have a wegmans Weimaraner dog head, a possible (albeit unusual) comfort character or just something that stood out to to the main character around that time, corrupted by them but still a better alternative to the memory of the actual face. the dog bailey could be a similar thing, actually being a childhood friend who went missing. or their actual dog, who couldve had their neck snapped by whoever this bad person is. and the main character could be in denial? idk i feel like everyone is missing the point. if it is just a "wegman dog is kinda uncanny ill shove it in an analogue horror series" kinda thing imma be a little bummed out tho. really hoping to see this go in a unique direction.

Coulda sworn I saw an arm in it one time, but I never did see anything in that bush during the daylight hours
The hole in the wall in this video gives me that *exact* same feeling and I hate it (in a good way)
There's the narrative and thematic component to it, of course, but I really love the fact that our protagonist makes photo albums and collects tapes of this weird show. It really humanizes her in a way that I don't often see in analog horror. I like that she has these interests and hobbies. Makes her feel like a person as opposed to just a vessel for the narrative. I think that's part of why these tapes get to me so much. Great videos! Super excited to see more :~)
The way I started going "nonononono" out loud during the hole scene... amazing job.
That’s where I am right now, and I can’t bring myself to unpause the video, and I have my dog with me and the door closed with music playing 😭
Time?

This is genuinely one of the most terrifying videos I’ve seen on youtube
but mr rex you are fearless
5:28
The hole in the wall is what should be freaking me out, but you pointing at the stairs gave me a cold chill lmao.
This actually makes sense considering that there was no mention of a dad in the story
I definitely feel like it's a metaphor. As creepy as a potential ghost/psycho wearing a dog head would be, something about it just being her mind trying to block out the memory of an abuser's face makes it more uneasy for me
..
though that might be because of my own childhood, I guess
Loving this series
You again. It's a small world.
The scrunchy paper transition reminds me of something that would be in an adventure game. Very satisfying.
We know that the dogman has been stalking Emily for a while, but could this moment imply that Emily saw Bailey strangled in front of her?
same
i started at weird soundtracks, some indie animations and now this. im going into a deep spiral of youtube right now and
i love it and hate it.
Oh God, "he's still out there" taking on a whole new meaning
I think the guy pictured is what the dogman looks like without the dog-ness. I also think he's the guy in that one polaroid looking like he's breaking in.
"He's still out there" isn't a hopeful reminder to keep looking for a lost pet
It's a warning he was never caught
Oh gods-
thinking about it that way makes it so much more horrifying
That sequence at 11:32 shook me to my core, I never thought I'd get scared of RUclips horror again, yet here we are. Looking forward to what you create next!!
I love those old Wegman skits, I had a weimaraner and she was the sweetest dog I've ever met. I miss her whenever I see one.
As someone who grew up in a family with five Weimaraners, William Wegman was a huge part of my childhood. I never expected to see it in a creepy light, but this is great!
oh my god.. This is the best analouge horror i have seen in a long time, you combined a liminal space, a child, an analouge horror, a PLOT, and a whole load of random pages and other elements and created a masterpeice with it.
@@ginnybrown6001 thank you so much! I’m really excited to bring something new to this series later on that expands these elements! I hope to see you soon! Thank you for your lovely comment! :o)
@@DogNightmares your welcome man :D
@@DogNightmares "Something new to this series" there's more to come? If so this would be the best analog horror creator I have seen so far, also nice work on this scene right here, its very leading up and low key kind of scary, nice work on this fr fr 10:44
Something about that ending part of watching the tape was so well done.
Maybe it’s the strange cut up audio, maybe it’s the seemingly 3rd person perspective of it, but all in all it just makes it such a cool scene.
And Jesus Christ that flashlight part had me on edge! But I’m glad the girl got a new friend :)
YES!!! YES!!!!! DOG NIGHTMARE SWEEP! your work never ceases to amaze
DOG NIGHTMARES SWEEP!!
man got a reply by the creator, thats cool
@@fighttheb8500 I might well put them in the series too!
@@DogNightmares bro i didnt know you were still working on it, makes sense since this arg has a lot more effort put into it then most out there
this is absolutely amazing !!! im such a big fan of args, horror media, found footage and all tha fun stuff and this is by far already one of my favorites !!!! its wonderfully made and played out, i cant wait for more !!!
This is the only analog horror video that has actually scared me, I’m looking forward to seeing this series grow. Love ur work keep it up!
9:54 THE WAY I WAS LIKE "OKAY KID SLOW DOWN IM NOT READY-"
God has it been a while since a web series genuinely creeped me out like this! Love what you’re doing with this series, it really takes me back to the more grittier, realistic found footage style of the old horror classics such as Marble Hornets and early EverymanHYBRID, but honestly even better and creepier. Subbed!
_ Literal demon Staring._
"AND THAT'S HOW I MET MY NEW BEST FRIEND :D"
maybe I'm misreading something but that moment at 12:06 with the drawing switched the entire mood for me from terrifying to adorable.
how did you do that
This, I don't know what to say, but this is what analog horror SHOULD be, it's Quiet but it still leaves you at the edge of your seat! I like what your doing and I love this series, you my friend are the king of horror. 👍👍
That's it! A quiet horror that makes the blood run cold in the veins and a minimum of screamers.
@@fgjjdgb3949there are no screamers here
To reference another piece of horror media "Green is not a creative color."
This looks great btw. Can't wait to see more.
Don’t hug me I’m scared
6:03 Camera static made me jump dog lol
been a fan of ARGs/internet horror for over 13 years now and i haven't been this impressed with a concept in a while.
you guys, this isn't just another "analog horror" series.
it's fresh, weird, unique, and it LOOKS good to boot. all the subtle details like the notepaper crumpling and uncrumping as a transition between notes, the very slight body horror in that picture of bailey turning his head, the bait and switch with the gift being completely normal, the early-youtube feel of the windows movie maker text on the screen. the fact that this might be the first series to have a convincing child's voiceover. all of it. the perfectly rectangular crawlspace in the wall, and that reveal...
deeply unsettling without trying too hard to be scary. the subtle hints that the dog person may have replaced a human...and the overarching mystery of bailey's disappearance.
excellent storytelling, i almost don't believe this is your first project. i am beyond excited for this series.
the last few minutes are perfect and as the story develops and the climax draws near, so does the dread.
Does a great job capturing how horrible it feels to be a scared child without anyone around
How the mom feels after leaving a 5 year old alone in a house:🙂🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿
Holy frag grenades! That is terrifying!
One of the most terrifying ever!
Like throw up from fear terrifying. I could barely look at the hole in the wall part with the dog monster!
It's one thing to be scary, but it takes even more to be intriguing. This does a great job taking a strange subject (beautiful sassy dogs) and making so many questions out of it, and more importantly, making us care about them.
This was not only interesting, but so well made! The editing in this is amazing, can’t wait to see where it goes from here
11:39 holy shit this is like the first time an analogue horror series has actually scared me
i do NOT Like how his body slowly moves
Dude same, but I mean, that’s what I get for watching this at night.

“Then I met my new best friend!” 😋😋😋
this whole arg is so creative and genuinely makes me feel uneasy, probably one of my favorites so far! Super cool :3

Hi
Amazing series, I can't wait for more!! The paper crumpling/uncrumpling, storybook, and Wegman tapes are all such unique and effective elements!
Holy shit I’m so glad to see that the online horror community is still alive
I haven't felt genuinely unsettled about anything since I was a little kid, but the part towards the end unsettled me to no end. Fantastic work, that will stick with me for a while.
This episode is really good. I really like seeing the improvement in story telling and how much more is told to the viewer in this episode. The sound design also is pretty creepy and adding it to the uncanny (this word sucks lol) visuals it makes this episode really really interesting and pretty creepy. I also love how "odd" this story is so far. Unique story, unique premise (to my knowledge at least) , creepy visuals, love it :)
Through watching and re-watching this video, and gleaming some insight from other commenters
I am just
left on the brink tears, honestly. I'm not sure if I'm scared or crestfallen.
But something about this series is hitting particularly hard.
gods-
uh
.. good work.
I was trying to read the comment and
you really know how to build up a story! keep going
This is one of very few videos that made me need to take multiple breaks out of fear and unease, well done holy shit
11:43 Clifford when Emily’s not around:
i have no clue why but the way that dog thing moves in the hole is so horrifying. ive seen similar scenes but none can match that scene. great job on this whole series so far! :)
Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Pardon my language, but this is genuinely one of the scariest fuckin analog horror videos I've ever seen. Not only is the concept alone scary, but the fact that the series revolves around a kid and her dog really fucks with me. This is very well done.
i agree with you, the idea of this series is mortifying it’s the only analog horror to truly scare me.
Brought here from Night Mind. This is one of my favorite projects Nick has introduced us to! Fantastic work and I hope it continues to grow!
ITS STILL AN AMAZING CHANNEL AND I WILL ALWAYS LOVE IT
hehehe thank you! William Wegmans work is fantastic! the doggies are absolutely cute
god this is amazing. just when i fell out of horror and analog horror, something that used to scare the shit out of me, became a total nothing to me, this is yanking me right back in! fantastic and so excited to see more!
THIS FUCKING RULES PIGGY! God you’re so talented this was amazing!
so excited to see more from you!
Christ that Hole scene nearly scared the aroace out of me
“And then I met my new best friend:D” kinda relieved me
This gave me major duck season vibes! Bravo, I Ain't sleeping tonight.
maybe a small detail but i loved how before we saw the full image during the storybook, it read as "and i am left alone to play all by myself, to open the door to strangers"
CHILLLLSSSSS THIS IS SO GOOD IM SO INVESTED!!! There’s so much talent and love put into this and it really shows. A standing ovation to the creator of this series, can’t wait to see what comes next!!!! 💛🫶🔆
this gave me chills 😭 I havent been scared this bad by something in years
I hate this video so much, it terrifies me and gives me nightmares.
Good job! Take my like!
I got chills at 11:39 LIKE WHAT THE FUCK WHY IS THAT IN YOUR HOUSE
Woah...I just watched all your videos today...I cannot wait to see more, you got another subscriber! I got to say though, the editing was really well done, felt cinematic, especially the ending.
911 what’s your emergency?
Me: my roommate aint roommatin
Man, the Wegman dogs used to creep me out as a kid
10:38 DON'T LOOK UP STEARD TO THE HALL WALL, THE FIRST HOW YOU GONA DO IS CALL 911!!!
Well done, You have unlocked another fear for me...but either way the analog looks very good so far 🙂👍✨
this is criminally underrated af. needs more recognition. XD
don't worry guys he's just got that dog in him.
I feel like the dog aspect is the least creepy part
I LOVE how you used Weimerainers, they need more screen time lol their made to br actors.
Just binged all these videos. Great work! Hope to see more.
Thanks for uploading! No one knew what sad dogs with human hands was when I tried to describe it. I knew I wasn't making it up haha!
It’s terrifying but the dog’s friendly which is really cool
Absolutely nauseating, great work!!
