I got a job after watching this video before an HR interview and also I watched other applicable videos and they were all participating in me getting the job!! Thank you so much. I also want to emphasize that I before I got the job I had updated my LinkedIN texts with the same as were in the CV and I had specified EXACTLY which job I wanted, in detailed and also defined my level of performance, after that I was contacted by a reqruiter and after that again there were 4 interviews. This videos are coming just in time. I have a question. Because I was referred internally and the team was eager to interview me, I’d initially bypassed the recruiters completely. Here’s the timeline, referred on 12/7, invited to apply on 12/8, email requesting times for interview on 12/9, panel interview scheduled for 12/15, less than an hour later a surprise text requesting a call with who would be my boss’ boss, afternoon interview with said boss 12/16, late afternoon email from HR requesting a call to discuss next steps. Call will be today in a few hours. I’m going to take it seriously but I’m just wondering if I got the job and things have been expedited due to the holidays. My friend’s application process was nothing like this. She thinks I got the job.

Hi Richard Thank you so much for this video, it is very useful however, It would be great if you could provide an example of an answer to help candidates with no experience, (for the first question). for the second questions, it would be really helpful to provide answer with some examples. for example when you said "I applied for this role it is with your company..... a company that has exciting plans for future (I do understand every company has different plans but an example there would be more helpful for your viewers ) and secondly in the same answer you said " your company's culture and values are the ones that I can relate to" (how?) answering this how with an example would also help us (viewers) understand better Thank you so much once again example

Hi Richard. I am applying for a fully remote company and I want to know how I can answer the salary expectations question. My problem is that I am sure whatever they’ll offer is going to be much above what I am currently getting. But at the same time I was once offered a salary of 100k for a contract role for the same position. And when I did my research I saw the range is between 64k to 120k. I’m not sure if I should give a figure or just say I’m okay with market standards because I don’t want to loose this opportunity! I once cleared the HR round for the same company by giving the answer “I’m okay with market standards”. Thanks for your help.

When HR does background checks, is it true they just actually check your criminal record thats all? I cant see how they could check your employment. And for references the previous employers can only say to confirm client was working with us. They cannot defame a potential employee.

I really don't like the answers that start with things such as "I applied for this position for three reasons". It makes the answer feel so scripted and pre-prepared. Interviewers would much rather you sound like you are being genuine and talking in the moment. Answers need to be more conversational, less robotic. Edit - Also, don't say "my strengths are all aligned with the job description", makes you sound like you are bullshitting. Just list your strengths and let the interviewer note to themselves that they align with the job description. Edit edit - Otherwise, I'm enjoying the content and using it to get ideas prior to an upcoming interview, thanks.

This videos are coming just in time. I have a question. Because I was referred internally and the team was eager to interview me, I’d initially bypassed the recruiters completely. Here’s the timeline, referred on 12/7, invited to apply on 12/8, email requesting times for interview on 12/9, panel interview scheduled for 12/15, less than an hour later a surprise text requesting a call with who would be my boss’ boss, afternoon interview with said boss 12/16, late afternoon email from HR requesting a call to discuss next steps. Call will be today in a few hours. I’m going to take it seriously but I’m just wondering if I got the job and things have been expedited due to the holidays. My friend’s application process was nothing like this. She thinks I got the job.

for the second questions, it would be really helpful to provide answer with some examples. for example when you said "I applied for this role it is with your company..... a company that has exciting plans for future (I do understand every company has different plans but an example there would be more helpful for your viewers ) and secondly in the same answer you said " your company's culture and values are the ones that I can relate to" (how?) answering this how with an example would also help us (viewers) understand better

Hi Richard. I am applying for a fully remote company and I want to know how I can answer the salary expectations question. My problem is that I am sure whatever they’ll offer is going to be much above what I am currently getting. But at the same time I was once offered a salary of 100k for a contract role for the same position. And when I did my research I saw the range is between 64k to 120k. I’m not sure if I should give a figure or just say I’m okay with market standards because I don’t want to loose this opportunity! I once cleared the HR round for the same company by giving the answer “I’m okay with market standards”. Thanks for your help.

When HR does background checks, is it true they just actually check your criminal record thats all? I cant see how they could check your employment. And for references the previous employers can only say to confirm client was working with us. They cannot defame a potential employee.

I really don't like the answers that start with things such as "I applied for this position for three reasons".
It makes the answer feel so scripted and pre-prepared.
Interviewers would much rather you sound like you are being genuine and talking in the moment. Answers need to be more conversational, less robotic.
Edit - Also, don't say "my strengths are all aligned with the job description", makes you sound like you are bullshitting. Just list your strengths and let the interviewer note to themselves that they align with the job description.
Edit edit - Otherwise, I'm enjoying the content and using it to get ideas prior to an upcoming interview, thanks.

After I submitted they call for an interview and project there offer based on my previous salary only.
