For a quick and easy method, Just take your texts clip and turn it into a compound clip (by right clicking the text clip), make sure that you changed the layer numbero, take your text compound clip and put it under the cutout clip then boom you're done.

Yeah this was before compound clip existed, so I had to export it first as a video.
