- Hey Y'all, if you didn't know I am Active duty military in the Air Force, here is a day in my life as an Airman. Drop any questions in the comments! I will answer them ALL.

I’m a junior in high school and I can’t wait I’ve been watching videos like this all day for advice and a little more knowledge.💗
I'm a senior in high school and we had a "job fair" type of thing recently. I talked to some ARMY guys, air force, and national guard but the air force really stood out to me. However, I asked about the training period and the guy said the first 2-3 weeks are the most stressful (as a way to see how you handle stress). Can you give some details about the training period? The guy said it lasts 7 weeks, is that how long you trained?
It was 7 and a half for me it may have changed. But yes the 1st 3 weeks are very stressful week 4 is basically transitioning. Everything after week 5 is easy.
@@brittbreanne Gosh. You all had it easy. I served in the Marines a long time ago. It was THREE MONTHS of sheer intensity. First month was tough. Second month you're swimming and at the rifle range. Third month is drilling, and basic warrior training. You're in the field for 2 weeks. So much fun. lol. I miss it though...the Corps.
Basic 7.5 weeks, teck school depends on your career choice and scores..

i'm 13 and I have absolutely no idea on what I want to do with my life but joining the air force and becoming an airmen always stood out to me. from some of the research I've read, the benefits are really good and it seems like a stable career but i am terrified of basic training, it just seems really scary to me and plus it seems like a lot stress. so I was wondering like on personal level, what was your experience With it?? like with the gas chamber and beast week? and just stuff like that! if you do manage to answer this, it would be very appreciated!!
I promise you it’s not as bad as you think. The gas chamber is a little rough but again by the time you are of age to go you’ll be able to handle it. It’s quick basic training in general goes by so quick before you know it you’ll be done

@@raec5568 You'll walk into a room where they'll release a gas that'll irritate your senses, it'll mostly effect your eyes and respiratory system. You'll have to remove your gas mask and withstand the gas for just a quick moment, then you'll exit the room. You do it together with your quadrant. It's not all that fun but you'll really be okay

Nothing too it. Just practice running if you aren't a football player in high school. Go out for track in high school, tell the coach your goal is the military, guaranteed he will bust his/her rear to help you get there. The other part's come easy if you can cut the 1.5 miles in half the time allowed

The hardest part for me was getting along with so many females with different personalities. Some are clean some are disgusting…..lol so yeah it’s definitely a process

Get the asvab book for dummies and literally RUclips anything you don’t know how to do. I taught myself everything I didn’t know and I was good! Try to study for an hour or two every day

I plan on joining the airforce for so many reasons but I don’t know what jobs I want to put on my list for when I get in I prequalify for it already but I’m just finishing my senior year in highschool. I planned on going to esthetician school so I’ll wait until my 4 years are over because I’ll be 21 and I’ll still have time for it but what do you recommend for someone who is interested in that type of thing or social media influencing

No you do not get to choose right off they put you where they need you based off the needs of the Air Force. If you do a long tour overseas then you do get to choose but that comes later in your career

Tbh I’ve never met a strict officer. Most of them as long as you know your job and you remember your customs and curtesy’s they are good.

So I work 3 days on 3 days off. It’s called a Panama schedule!

You don’t need a high score with this job I did open admin so I just got sent to it. But I think you need a minimum of 36. But google that to make sure lol

Everybody has set pay. Pay depends on your rank my job is 24hrs but I don’t work 7 days a week.
