@@librephoenix That's a cool feature yet could you please do a tutorial video how to switch from workspaces for a multiple monitor ... I tried a lot with hypland guide but still do the default parameters...( Forced to auto) For example I would like to make a keybinding to switch from also move processes from workspace 1..to..9 or in first monitor with super+number and the second monitor with alt+number from 1..to..9?? Please how to do that??😢
i am assuming that you use firefox. if so what is that firefox theme ? i would like to remvoe all ui other than a small sidebar with tabs in it. i have one setup but searching new themes is never a -ve for me
In your video, around 1:14, it looked like you dragged an application from the top bar. Can you tell me how you did that? Or was that a scratchpad with animation set up that way?
I just dragged the window from another monitor (I have a triple monitor setup). Multimonitor config stuff is here: wiki.hyprland.org/Configuring/Monitors/ and then the mouse dragging functionality I use are these two lines in my config: # super + right click for move, super + left click for resize bindm=SUPER,mouse:272,movewindow bindm=SUPER,mouse:273,resizewindow
when i tried to execute pyprland with the command "pypr toggle pavucontrol" it gave me an error ConnectionRefusedError: [Errno 111] Connection refused!!!! 😢
Is there a program to magnify screen and annotate on it..?? Or speparate programs for screen zooming and annotation ??? (Like a combination of boomer and gromit-mpx....or every one separate)
@@librephoenix I m sorry libre, I ve got another issue... when i tried to execute pyprland with the command "pypr toggle pavucontrol" it gave me an error ConnectionRefusedError: [Errno 111] Connection refused!!!! 😢
As I understand it, hyprland currently only has one default special workspace, where you shove all of the "scratchpad apps." With pyprland, you can have infinitely many special workspaces, and there is one for every app, meaning you can have a different keybind for every single app, and it only shows that app. I think I have 7 or 8 of them in my setup.

You can have many special workspaces that are named. For example, I have three special workspaces that act like scratchpads: one for Teams, one for my password manager and one for a terminal.
There's nothing you can improve, your just a wonderful person!
Came for the Hyprland, subscribed because of Nix.
:)

Do you know where I can find a nixos unicode logo for my waybar please...? Thanks
this is making me wanna put nixos on my main rig and daily drive it.
Someone else getting an "AssertionError: Client address is invalid" error?
Is that waybar that you are using? I like the look!
hey how did you make that screen at 1:07 that looks super cool, and useful.
What do you mean? at 1:07 he is switching workspaces.
these are called status bars
it's Emacs dashboard

Pyprland has a zoom plugin as well which allows you to magnify the screen (I use it all the time!) Don't know about annotating though

@@librephoenix Oh actually you can have as many special workspaces as normal workspaces (which I think was in the millions?)
@@TheSast No, special workspaces are limited to 93
@@backhdlp who is going to use more than 93 named spacial workspaces?
Gotta do this for more scratchpads currently using the base special workspace
yeah i have a script for special workspaces, i used named ones ... pretty much same functionality as above, window rules and keybinds :)

Hyprland workspace/multimonitor tweaks would definitely be a good video idea! I'll add it to my video ideas board :)

whats the diff between this and the special workspace in hyprland?

Has anyone used Hyprscratch? I prefer no python. Currently wrapped up in other issues and cannot add pkgs to my build atm.
