Wow. This app is amazing. I have so far mainly used the presets because they sound so nice, but after watching this I’m amazed at the level of sound design this thing is capable off. You explanations are so clear and inspiring, because now I feel deep need to make cool bell sounds lol.
This looks fantastic. I am chomping at the bit to get my hands on it. I already have some plans for emulating some guitar string sounds. These masterclass videos are a tremendous resource for all of the 4Pockets apps that have them (Helium, Neon, Evolver, etc.), and deserve multiple, careful viewings to take it all in, and I can attest to the fact that it's worth the time. 🥇
Would you consider creating a modeled instrument drum machine for iPadOS? It would be fantastic to have more and better modeling options for percussive instruments on iOS/iPadOS/macOS.
One thing occurred to me... would it be possible to add a strumming surface interface to this, a la Yonac's "Steel Guitar Pro" as an in-app purchase extra? Frankly, your implementation of this modeled string instrument sounds better than moForte's "GeoShred Pro". Also, good call on the Harmonics control in the app. I doubt you were influenced by Cherry Audio's "Harmonia" synth, but there's definitely something in the air these days. ;)
Great stuff! I can't help but asking: how inspired by Reason Objekt were you while creating this? So many similarities and calling the output modules for object is almost provoking. Looking forward to get this and to compare it with the amazing Objekt.
@@PaultheMusicManThank you for getting around to the update quickly. It really is a dealbreaker for me with synths these days as I prefer to create in A-432Hz… as well as a few other alternatives. 👍🏽
Is there a free trial I can get?as a blind guy. It’s a little expensive. I would love to try it out to make sure everything works with the voiceover also.
Sorry, there is no free trial of StringLab and to be honest I haven't done anything special to support voiceover and since there are quite a few custom controls in this app it might be problematic.
I don’t know if you know how to use voiceover. At least a little bit but. If you get a chance to load it up in garage band and see if you can at least change the patches. Let me know sometimes some apps are not designed to work properly with voiceover but I’m able to still change the sounds. But some abs I cannot change the sounds at all. I’m not trying to use the full app. I just want to be able to use the all patches.
Hey Paul loving the app but I’m having some issues with the knobs jumping values in the app making very hard to make adjustments, especially finer ones, for patch making. Also no good for live tweaking. Any possibility of a fix or could you look into it when you get the time?
The knobs are designed to work by dragging in a horizontal or vertical directions. Please do not attempt to turn the knobs or drag in a circular motion. When you first touch the knob its x/y position is taken, and as you drag your finger it subtracts the current position from the initial position. Whichever is biggest x or y is the value used. Is there a particular knob that shows this behaviour more than others?
That last point was understated. The fact you can use this as an effect sold it tomme
FYI: I am busy working on an implementation of MPE for StringLab. Hopefully this will be released soon once I've proprtly tested it.

YES PLEASE
When’s this in store
I came here to ask this. Sounds so lush.
Curious as well Stephen.
I'm hoping for it to be released later this week
@@PaultheMusicMan thanks Paul.
@@kentaccordionist I am releasing on Wednesday Stephen at 12pm (GMT).

Yes please🤩 - Like actual real drums not 808 stuff
Wow! Looks like another winner… Can’t wait for this.
Been waiting for this and bought it earlier before watching Doug's new video on it. Wonderful stuff and it sounds fantastic. You did a great job Paul.
Paul! I love you! You keep figuring out what the ios music landscape needs and conjure coding it into existence.
This looks like it will be very useful! Thank you, Paul!
Wow! I have been waiting for something like this on iOS. You are such a creative and prolific developer Paul. Congrats!
What! Physical modelling from 4pockets, fantastic! 🤩
Genius, you know what you’re doing sir!
Thanks Paul. This looks very interesting.
Good work Paul.
Brilliant! Well done again, Paul! You are a magician, sir.

Strumming interface would be amazing 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you Paul for this excellent sounding synth with so many great possibilities 😎👍 another new must have for my 4pockets collection👏👏👏
Looks and sounds fantastic... but when will it be available?
Looks and sounds very cool, Paul! :)

It's not so much like Objekt, it has a form of Modular synthesis I don't have, mine is purely Karplus Strong.
Fire auv3🔥🔥🔥🔥🚒
Suburb, the effect in wow. 👏👏👏👏
Super merci 🙏 ❤
This will be instabuy 🎉
Just bought it and wondered if there’s a simple way of setting global tuning… not per sound, but all. I like to compose in A432Hz.
Currently you can detune by whole semitones, but not by fractional semitones. I will look into adding this in a future version.

I’m a synth klutz, but excited about this. Any word on when this will be released Paul??

Is it auv3? I am asking because i am blind.
Yes, it is an AUv3 plugin.
@@PaultheMusicMan OK thank you. It’s because it wasn’t in the description. And I am blind.
