I just want the rest of the cassette bots for both Blaster/Twincast and Soundwave/Blaster.
I kind of wish that Lockdown went for more of the Animated aesthetic instead of the ROTF design. Though this makes it a somewhat decent alternative for that ROTF design for people who don't want to pay $100 for a deluxe.
I’m sure they have plans for an Animated Lockdown in the future.
Wouldn't be surprised if that Ferak head sculpt goes on a 86 movie color version of Cyclonus for studio series

I did not want an Army of Skids molds, but Cannonball is better than I thougj.
Getting the whole line if they do not shortpavk some like G2 Sideswipe, G2 Dead End, BS500 Cosmos, & Clampdown.
Definitely agree this Lockdown is a stopgap. A G1 Lockdown for now, and an Animated Lockdown that most people were expecting down the road.
Lock down is a let down but Filtch rocks!!! Cannonball is surprisingly good.
The skids mold can still be made into Reboost, the red skids.
5:52 the only character that should be repainted and retooled from the skids mold is reboost
feels like i’m gonna end up buying my entire collection again in these new ‘toon’ repaints this year
The Lockdown in the stock photos seems to be missing paint on the shins. The box art has them painted green, so hopfully the actual release has that fixed. If not, I'll paint it myself or get toyhax, I've got range. Also I think they choose the ROTF head because animated's head woundn't fit in the cab.

Blaster is one of my favorite figures in my small collection. This 86 version is just an updated version of the kingdom/legacy design. its honestly was already a perfect figure. if you havent already, this is a great opportunity to get the best version of him. The Solid plastic is definitely better than the clear plastic.
You may not be impressed but I'm Glad that we're gonna get a Blaster with a rewind made of solid plastic. And none of that brittle translucent plastic.
As someone who works at Target, this will provide me an opportunity to obtain funny cassette man.
in fairness to Lockdown, he is compatible with the other Junkion figures and himself so if you wanted you could make a Voyager scale version of Lockdown, using the junkions.
Definitely getting Filch, even though she's from RID15 I might put her with the BW stuff. Lockdown and Cannonball are also great, hopefully Thundertron has some new parts too.
I could never find an Axlegrease so maybe I'll pick up Lockdown. They can't retire the Skids mold until they give us Reboost and the other red skids.
If this livestream had come out LAST WEEK, when the Mayhem stuff went up for preorder, and with Blaster being an actual surprise, it would have gone over better.
They got all the liscensed crap outta the way at least.
Heres hoping the next few weeks they can actually surprise or excite us with something, cuz this week felt like they chopped 1 livestream into multiple parts to stretch out enhagement.
I kind of wonder if they could repaint Filch back into Airazor as a TM2 concept figure.

as an animated fan I love seeing Lockdown getting a new figure and if some one got Scrapbook, Axelgrease and Towline, you could frankenstein the alt mod. Cannonball looks amazing, it funny how the original mold Cannonball hade was used to make a movie-verse Crankcase so it's kinda of a funny wrap around for the characters and their molds

I want to comment on this being a "stop gap" for Lockdown. Probably give it another 4 more years. Maybe he'll be Voyager or Leader or something. Maybe one of the spikes isn't in the right place, just another moment of "fans" never being happy.
Just saw the comparison of how tall the original toys were. Current Deluxe is way different then back then (could be the size of a leader). I'm fine with compact deluxe. (I don't care how much they charge now or back then)
Edit: also we all know this Lockdown is going to be sold out immediately and flipped for thrice the price. If people buy, Hasbro will listen.

86 Blaster is a pass, not enough difference. With the recent repaints of Marvel comic characters I’m hoping Blaster get in with a new head sculpt
Shame about exclusives. That is always the curdled cream in the coffee. I'll be getting Filch, since I have the botcon releases of Cannonball and Ferak (Which I like better, though that new Ferak is looking pretty sharp) And I am not digging that Lockdown. If only Wal-marts in my area EVER carried these damnable exclusives

I’m honestly really excited for this new Lockdown figure, as it can actually part-swap, which is a huge part of his character and is something that no previous Lockdown toy can do
They are still getting the aesthetic wrong in many ways with the SS86 figures, but only where they are creating redecos or retools. They are not smooth enough and have too much detail that isn't there in the animation model. The Ultra Magnus got it pretty much spot on as a fresh tool, but its annoying when they use mainline figures from SS86 with a different deco as its a line that is supposed to look as close to the animation as possible within the budget. The Starscream was horrible as SS86. It was all wrong, and thank god they haven't released any redecos of the other seekers using that mold and redo it as a fresh version at some point. Hopefully, they will go a little more 3p and go ultra animation accurate and stop using molds from the mainline unless they are already prefect aesthetic wise and just need a new paint job. If they dont do a totally new one, or use the Kingdom Galvatron mold with anything less than extensive retooling to make him perfect, I'll be gutted beyond belief.

I was so disappointed that they didn't have a Haslab Tier 3 reveal for us. Not having a third tier just feels like a shame

On the contrary that Lockdown actually does have something to be desired. It is based on the ROTF deluxe figure which I have been trying to hunt down for some time but everyone on eBay wants $200 for him which is a big no for me. Lockdown may be the least favorite of these reveals for most of you but for me, WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO
6 uses out of that garbage Skids mold and there's still more they can do..
