Don't recall the station but it was Willow springs MO. All I know is I was failing God, My wife and family continuously. Ready to give up. Until I heard a Study In The Word on The radio The Message Of The Cross one afternoon. . I couldn't believe my ears, how clear it became finely free. Learned how to live for God for the first time since I came to the Lord during the spring of 1961. I now live in Chandler Arizona and have been free ever since learning the answer for which we seek is found in the cross and in that alone. Praise God for you brother. The Lord gave to me Philippians 2:12-13 and has been a great add on and a great help to the answer for me, in that it is not my strength but his strength giving me a divine enablement to do For his good pleasure. The "Message of the Cross" is the original Gospel. Spurgeon taught it. William J. Seymour taught it. David Wilkerson taught it. Charles Finney taught it. Keith Green taught it. Allister Begg and Erwin Lutzer teach it. Many good preachers taught it, and some still do. The basic foundations must be laid first! Walking in the flesh because not living in the Spirit. Not dying to ourselves. Not understanding the message of the Cross and the need for the Holy Spirit to take up the Cross daily.
Your flesh and your spirit are at war with one another! Even Paul said, the things I should do, I do not, but the thigs I should not do I do! Then Paul said, I crucify myself daily! We are to give no place to the devil. Our biggest problem is us. Unless we trust God each day at the Cross we will never limit the flesh.
The question was: "How do I keep from walking in the flesh?". My brother you answered the question succinctly and scripturally when you started with the question by reading Romans 8:9 "You however ARE NOT in the flesh but IN THE SPIRIT if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you." When we are placed in Christ (born again) we are in the Spirit and not in the flesh. SO in Christ is in the Spirit..that's the solution: in Christ. The Galatians audience involved Judaizers who wanted to include circumcision, etc.
How do you stop walking in the flesh easy you die. How simple is that? And i thought it was the blood sacrifice that saved. Isn't that what made atonement? I'm just learning we have been deceived in the true meanings of the Bible. Peace and love to all.
If you truly know bro Larsen and what he teaches you’d know full well he is NOT taking anything from Jesus. Obviously we are disciples of Christ. But in my opinion you CANT SEPARATE CHRIST AND THE CROSS. The gospel isn’t just Christ it’s Christ CRUCIFIED (Cross) No Cross NO SALVATION…No HEALING etc. Ronnie❤️✝️
