This is all well and good, but most of us don't ever want to scale our business. That's when quality control has a strong tendency to falter. If you remain as a sole proprietor, getting 2 dozen steady, year-round clients will give you more than enough work. And 90% of these "followers" are just flakes and/or contractually obligated to enormous media companies, especially here in the U.S. Perhaps it's different in Norway. By and large, even though they might love your work, they can't hire you. So 90% of this on average is baseless. It's about cultivating our business relationships with our steady clients and selling add-ons from our services list. Just a little food for thought.
Yes, you can up your rates if you think a dozen of year-round is more than enough. 99% of people that follow me arent supposed to be my clients, but you can monetize attention. They make me legit whenever i reach out to clients, and also help me build up my social proof, thus easier to land higher paying clients. Clients reach out to me more than the opposite now.
But having a large following is much more than getting clients, it also open up doors for multiple income sources like selling digitalt products, affiliate links, and brand deals. It has allowed me to work with brands like MINI and DJI. I still remain as a solo creator. And yes, cultivating our current relationships is important.
@@HuyRebel I have around a dozen year-round realtors, so it's been good. Although another dozen would be great especially during this time of year. I came from the broadcasting world, did studio camera, corporate and pro sports for twenty years. Much prefer shooting real estate. Nice not having looney directors yelling in my headset. But anyway, it's great you're getting high end clientele! Your shooting style is excellent.
