With the remaining budget being that close to CBT, even if we just shore up the bullpen and if there is a miracle, convincing Sasaki playing for the Rangers, this is A+ tier offseason for CY. I don't see anything more than NRI deals on position players if Smith, Duran, or even Foscue are all lining up for precious major league playing time, all those limited remaining budget should get to the resources that's never enough, pitching! edit: with Burnes now a DBack, I started to think a possibility of buying very low on Monty, though how to level on the books would be an absolute headache, but I think it would be a chance to have Arizona to cover at least half of his salary😂, just dreaming here.
if the rangers were smart, they trade gray and his entire salary for a reliever...Then trade for pablo lopez from the twins. Lopez has a controllable contract, but only getting paid around 8.5M this year
Why would Jon Gray be the #3? I'm confused, after the season he had last year... am I wrong for feeling done with him as a starter, at least over the other options
I think John Grey should pull a Smoltz and convert to a Closer. His 3rd pitch hasn't been there, and he has some good relief splits.
John Smoltz did it. I like this idea
Armstrong stuff reminds me of Mike Adams

It's a good sign that the Rangers are working on to fix the bullpen at this time of the off-season it seems we got everything lined up.

Would be sick if we got Roki. But im not holding my breath.
Dane Dunning and Gray will do well in the bullpen as Long Relievers
God I hope so
My ideal realistic rest of offseason
Martin 2yr/20m
Urena 1yr/3.5m
Leclerc 1yr/3.5m
Jeff hoffman would be my choice to get but is probably asking too much . Just get yates and robertson back if nothing else
