I just bought the very same pencil/pen that you are using (olive wood, black titanium) from Bledsoe Artistic Gifts for my wife. She absolutely loves it!! Awesome to watch, will have to look into getting some of those bits for my dremel.
@@BradAngove Silver leaf the whole carve then a nice clear resin and a dark body would make it pop. If you really want a challenge then maybe drop and LED bulb or 2 in too to make it light up....#Justsaying :)
Helps having that Artistic ability through talent and hard work, makes doing this stuff for the first time nerve racking I'm sure but 9 times out of 10 anything you try is going to look good. Killer work for first go! Sam from Crimson should be worried, Lol. Seriously, 100k soon I'm telling ya.
I wondered about the left handed thing (my wife is left handed). You seemed to use it more, but a lot of stuff I've seen you do is pretty ambidextrous ;-)
If you like those kind of pens you've got to check out the bolt action rifle one. I think you're okay to have it in Canada because it doesnt actually fire a cartridge. LOL
Thanks for the video. Doesn’t look very good currently. That doesn’t necessary mean you couldn’t pull it off. Fill it in with some colored epoxy if it’s a bust.
I thought about doing carving once. So I cooked a roast. No way would I carve a guitar I don't trust myself to keep steady and scared I would screw it up. Nice work.
What, no grinder? LOL. I have to admit at first I thought you were messing up but now I see what you're doing. I only thought you were messing up because you put that (First attempt) in the title lol. I see what you have going now and it looks cool.
Brad wakes up one morning and thinks? What have I not done with a guitar yet? Oh let's take micro motor and carve something into a guitar body hahaha now fill it with resin!!!!
I don't want to be a troll but I think you should have started with a much smaller bit. There once was a sculptor who was asked how he made such beautiful sculpture out of stone and he replied I just cut away everything that is not the sculpture, or something close to that (you have to forgive me, I'm 71 and my memory isn't what is used to be.) Anyway, it not bad for a first try, just trying to give a little constructive criticism. I love your channel and can't wait for you to put out a new video!
@@BradAngove You will probably have to buy a real Dremel bit and it will be all metal. I have some I got with my first Dremel kit a number of years ago that I still use but I'm sure I've seen them at Lowes.

Garry did a killer job on these. I love mine.
@@BradAngove yah, my wife's came out absolutely awesome as well!
Yes! I’ve been looking forward to this one since you uploaded the pic to Instagram. So far, so good - I can’t wait until video #2!
Thank you James!
You’re welcome, Brad.
I bet that will look awesome by the time you have done with it Brad, Cheers
Thanks Casper.
Hell Yeah!! loving that brad. I'm excited to see how it develops.
Thanks. I’m glad you like it.
As always, I enjoyed the video. Especially calling out the pens (spreading the love). Can't wait to see part 2.
Thanks. Hopefully it’s clear that I don’t throw a shoutout to anything I don’t believe in, and the pens are quite nice (I’m a nerd).
@@BradAngove Anyone who watches your channel will know, that you don't often recommend stuff. No worries there! (We're all nerds)
Looking good.
I'd be resin filling the carve with maybe some gold or silver leaf.
That’s an interesting idea. Maybe I will.

Haha thank you. I’m not particularly artistic, but luckily I have a bit of practice messing with mahogany.
I've done a couple of head stocks like this good job Brad, nice music too 👍
Thanks Mark
Love the video and the sound track was so 60ish Booker T & The MGs'. ah so cool!!!
Thanks Brian. Glad you like it.
Pretty cool. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks Brian
Pretty kool carving, Bradley N" niccce pen's bro.... Likd 25
Thanks Soda. I’m starting a small collection haha.
Dude, great start at this! Can't wait to see the finished carving.
Thank you. I’m glad you like it so far.
Good start!!..
Thank you
Fantastic work Brad
Thank you sir.
I liked this before I even watched it. Why? Because loyalty, that's why!
Thank you, I appreciate it.
I wondered about the left handed thing (my wife is left handed). You seemed to use it more, but a lot of stuff I've seen you do is pretty ambidextrous ;-)
I spray (Guns and cans) with either hand, but the detail work is mostly lefty.
Looking good so far!
Thank you sir.

Haha yeah, I had Garry one of those too. Guns are legal in Canada, you just have to have a license to own them.
Very cool man🤘
Thanks Blake

Ya, if it ends up not working out I might just do a cutout there.
Please tell us you are hand painting then resin fill. Best possible use for resin I could think of. I'm doing the same thing today.
I might be resin filling it. Possibly after som leaf work and airbrushing.
Thats gonna look good !!
I hope so haha

Thanks David.
Cool, what kind of tips are those grinders?
They’re the saburr-tooth bits.

Thank you. It’s still the first attempt and there’s still lots of time to mess it up haha.
That's cool. Feels great to work outside your comfort zone, don't it? Lol
It’s a good time for sure.
"Well it's looking interesting, so far....." That's not how I would describe it...lololololol
Big asterisk next to interesting?

That was weirdly accurate...
@@BradAngove Next week's video Brad buys a Tattoo kit from Amazon ( I've never done it before but looks fun) 😄😄
@@stu-j I didn't realize they had those on amazon...
@@BradAngove omg I've now put the idea in your head! It will make a funny video tho all you need is a pig! ( It's great skin to practice on hahahaha)
left handed fountain pens aren't just normal fountain pens? what do you mean?
The pen is the same, but if you’re left handed fountain pens are a bad time. Our hands pas directly over the wet ink as we write.
