Hello, I would like to split a 1-hour video, but I would like all the splits to be 5 minutes long each video. The program would have this option to automatically split each video into 5 minutes.
Unfortunately although you can do that with this program, I think you would need to cut all before the 5 minute section and all after the 5 minute section, over and over, starting a new project for each 5 min segment. But I did a quick search and this programs claims to do what you are asking. But it's not free. They might have a trial period. www.bandicam.com/bandicut-video-cutter/?srsltid=AfmBOoqxalP83gphBvZrxfEIE7dkKU2mrQQOCnNhgZaAi2TeIW-h2rn4 I think this might be an online solution and I think it's free. www.adobe.com/express/feature/video/split
I have a bunch of clips of different resolutions, framerates etc, some of which I would like to join. Is there an efficient way to figure out which ones are compatible with each other before I load them into Lossless Cut?
If they are a different resolution, codec, framerate or bitrate, they can be merged, but it will need to reencode them. Unfortunately the lossless and quick method shown here, will not work.
Nope. For that you need a video editor. Something like that requires the video to be reencoded. I recommend DaVinci resolve. It's free. I personally have used it and it's an okay editor. I actually use PowerDirector 21 as my daily video editor. It's not free but I have been using PD for over a decade and I know it forwards and backwards and I don't like change.
I don't think it's meant to combine two different clips. It's meant to cut out parts of the same clip without having to reencode. There are programs to combine clips, but if the clips have different encode settings, then it will need to reencode. Most clips will have different encode settings unless it was recorded with the same camera with the same settings. That said, the freeware I use to combine multiple clips with the same settings is mkvtoolnix.download/ It does a good job but it will glitch out if the clips have different settings. It can combine several hours of clips of the same settings in a matter of minutes. There are also a lot of tutorials out there on how to use it.
@@KarThik-bm6gi There's no such thing as a lossless image joiner, as far as I know. There are however, lossless image formats like BMP and PNG. There are other formats but those are the two I am familiar with. BMP is an old format and PNG is a more modern format that allows lossless quality while still being compressed. Maybe you are asking about joining an image sequence into a lossless video.
Soon as you mentioned 'Star Trek Voyager' yep this is the tut for me... Live long and prosper mate!

@@BlenderRookie No, it actually does - I found out later you can do that from Tools menu, and it combines all videos from the list into one.
@@michuuu84 Really, I will have to look into that.
