Love the car but I would be looking for a tuner or answers ASAP. There were FBO all motor 2zz’s a decade ago making 200whp with hydra PFC tuners. At .71 bar that car should make almost 290 to the wheels unless that race head lowers compression. Seems like my 2zz hit limiter at 8900rpm too on stock computer.
Hi Mitch, Torque's is low than stock 1ZZ-FE, but it's on low cam. So it's "fair". Air/Fuel ratio is extremely rich between 3200 to 6900 rpms (below 10). Did MWR sent to you a base tune? After more than one year, why not having sent the car to get it tuned right? Do you still have Lift issue? Why having setted the idle that high (more than 2k rpm)? Do the engine stall below? Cheers

Here is the 1zz info; Output is between 120 bhp (122 PS; 89 kW) at 5,600 rpm with 122 lbf⋅ft (165 N⋅m) of torque at 4,400 rpm, 130 bhp (132 PS; 97 kW) at 6,400 rpm with 126 lbf⋅ft (171 N⋅m) of torque at 4,200 rpm. As for tune it's a base from mwr. Not tuned specifically for my car. Car is is running a very rich tune to protect from lean. I will be selling the APEXi PFC With commander & switching to AEM EMS4 Thank you again for your support!!

Yes that's exhaust. Too rich. Unburnt fuel on low RPM. Needs tune ✔️✔️

your GTI is also 1000 lbs heavier so this MR2 is def quicker 👍
