This episode was hysterical! Definitely one of my favorites in your series. Sir Topham Hatt's personality in this episode was awesome and I loved every part of it!
I was chuckling all the way through this. Poor Edward.. This may be one of your best works yet. I absolutely love how wonderfully clever, well-crafted and fun your videos are but this one in particular was like dialed to 11- the fact that it all takes place in a dream is such a perfect setting for this type of story and I love how it allowed you to do whatever the heck you want in a really fun, fantastic way. The jokes were so well done and beautifully cathartic in a really awesome way. My gosh, Edward was the perfect main character for this.. I know I'm 'that guy' who tries to see the positives in Thomas Wood (as a side line for younger kids) but believe me, this video reminded me in a big way of just how insane it is that this product was meant as a total replacement for Thomas Wooden Railway. Man oh man.. Like Edward said, thank you for keeping the true magic alive!
This episode greatly satirizes both the Thomas Wood line and the Sharon Miller and Big World! Big Adventures! eras. It's probably a blessing in disguise that Edward didn't get his own Wood model in 2018. In my opinion, the Thomas Wood line still has a long way to go if it wants to be a high-quality merchandise line like Thomas Wooden Railway was, but I do think that having the engines be fully painted again in 2019 is a step in the right direction.
If there was one way to describe the current series and merchandise as well as where Thomas and Friends are going these days, this is definitely the best way to describe it. Well done.
What a crazy and funny episode! Reminded me of Special Tunnel, guess that Duke and Edward both have a similarity. Also, I love how it reflects on the bad stuff that happened before like the new (and not painted) Thomas Wood and the Miller Era.
Been watching for the umpteenth time, and I like how you portray Edward as the "Only Sane Man" or the "Only Sane Engine" among the BWBA-themed engines.
Hilarious episode, I think you've just summed up how everyone feels about Thomas & Friends Wood! I suggest you make a video where you take all of those horrendous unpainted engines and burn them!
That was amazing! I actually do have a Thomas Wood Item (Don’t hate me for saying this), it is the Day Out With Thomas Coach that came with Sir Topham Hatt. It is surprising that Edward is the main character (possibly because wood did not make a model of Edward nor Henry).
Basically the whole summary of this episode is that Mattel went from saving the franchise to basically ruining it for everybody with Wood, Removing Toby, Henry, & especially Edward the 1st EVER character created in the world of Sodor from the Steam Team, & of course the Big World Big Adventures garbage.
This episode was funny and kind of freaky at the same time! Good job! (Also went Edward crashed into rusty I thought that the other wood engines would come and take Edward away to be downgraded)
This really remind me of one of the episode where Duke was stuck in wacky version of his narrow gauge line where Duncan can fly, Skarlorey only sing acapella, & Proteus is a regular engine that have magic powers. I really like those kinds of episodes and I hope we can see them more.
🤔Back then, I understood why Edward in this episode said Stephen had an extra tender (though he's not copying Flying Scotsman like Henry and James did ) is because is back then when Stephen's wooden railway model during King of the railway Mattel accidentally made his model not how it is in the film, the model of Stephen has his tender attached to him making him look like Bertram's old model, as they're supposed to be separate, so yes I know the wood model is Stephen is terrible like the wood models, but one thing I can say that wood made Stephen's tender separate from instead of stuck to him.
Nice reference to Thomas Wood. They started fully painting the engines but they are still blocky and the bigger engines are still short. Hopefully Mattel gets brought by another company that can actually make the show and the merchandise better.

Wow! An Episode all about the 2018 Thomas Wood Engines including Belle! I hope you can get the 2019 verisons of the Thomas Wood Models! Those look so much better!
I just realized that the part in which Sir Toppam Hatt says that Toby was sent away to a museum echoes what one of the Horrid Lorries said would happen to Toby when they started doing the engine’s jobs in that one episode.
Great episode, it reminds me of the episode an engine of many colours except with Edward instead of James and having a dream about everything looking in the Thomas wood form and your episode from season 9: special tunnel, when Duke dreamt about strange things happening with the narrow gauge engines. Also I prefer the original Thomas wooden railway era too but I decided to get the wood train of Yong Bao (the fully coloured one) to be with Frieda Gina Vinnie and Ashima.
I can’t remember but it’s about Gordon getting so angry that everything is changing like Henry moving to Vicarstown and Edward moving to Wellsworth (which at least made a bit of sense) but in the end he accepts the changes which is what Mattel basically wanted the fans to do.
The perfect combo of mudslinging the Sharon Miller writing styles, BWBA, and Mattel's horrible decision to warp one of the most beloved toylines, all in one.
The Angry TTTE Fan And PAW Patrol was to blame for the show going in this direction. That show only succeeded because it was fast-paced and had enough action to draw kids away from changing channels. That was where Mattel developed the mindset that the only way to win kids over is to win over their attention span that last only three seconds. Think of the TV Tropes term, Viewers Are Goldfish.
Comic Fan 13 Edward, Henry and Toby were never released in Thomas Wood due to them being replaced in the main cast by Nia and Rebecca, aka the twosome introduced only to serve as the token “woke” females who get shoehorned as much as possible.
@Nichole The Otter Well I agree that Nia was just shoehorned in. Rebecca I think was introduced quite well. She’s very positive and optimistic but can also be quiet shy. But still no way that they treat her like an actual character unlike Nia. (I dare you to tell me any notable character traits Nia has besides being from another country.)
