To some, it's back to it being the original the 100 show, that we came to know and love in Season 1. It's time to move on to the real major characters which are Clarke, Bellamy, Raven, Abby, Kane, Murphy, and so on. They're the real "glue" in the show, if you will. This show was renewed for season 3 because of the introduction of Grounders culture and the promise of more conflict between the Grounders and the Skaikru. They were given a season 4 because the show creator and writers engaged with a certain group and promised them a sorta happy ending and when they secured that season 4, they killed off Lexa. And the stats for the show went downhill afterwards. So no, sorry for disagreeing, the Skaikru are not the "glue" of the show. Clarke and Octavia are definitely vital on the show, but not Bellamy, nor Abby, nor Kane, not even Raven. Because if they are, then the writers and show creator will just focus on them, and not on the guest stars. But anyway. That's just my opinion. For the sake of the rest of the fans who are still willing to give the show another shot after the disaster that was season 3B, I wish them well on season 4, survive, and then have another season. I'm glad I watched this for Alycia and Eliza, because I'm so grateful for their characters, but damn, I hate him so much and this show lost so much after what they did. The CoL story was so boring and Lexa, Polis and the Grounders were the best parts of early season 3. So much potential there for the show going forward, and that's even beyond how incredible the story of Clarke and Lexa was. Now though... They've lost the spark, the pieces that made it special, and that will be this show's downfall.

I think its always important to remember Lexa was going to die whether Alycia was available or not, Lexa was the plot device to grow Clarke as a leader and that was it, Jason had no interest in actually "going there". Eliza has been doing her job promoting the relationship between Clarke and Lexa but you only need to watch the show itself to know Elizas opinion is not shared or supported by canon. Lets be honest if Lexa was still alive and everything else in S3 didnt change I think quite a few people who dropped the show because of Lexas death would have dropped it anyway. Her dying just saved us a lot of grief trying to justify the clusterfuck of S3.

Apparently, Clexa fans thought they were baited into the show when Lexa was first introduced as a lesbian, and somehow or other, Jason decided to kill off that character, which in turn leads to people saying LGBT characters can never have a happy ending. There's a term for this phenomenon but I can't recall at the moment. They are displeased with his decision about killing off Lexa. I guess, that's about it. That's where the hatred came from, or at least, some hatred. :)
