she really shouldn’t be wearing that headpiece. it’s not a fashion accessory. it’s special to my people. do u know how it feels to see someone so carelessly appropriate ur culture? shame on her and shame on the designer/ seller. even if the seller was native american and still sold it to her, shame on them. everything put on that headpiece means something. ur suppose to earn the headpiece with strong achievements. i hope she learns from this.

personally i don’t think it’s wrong to wear something that’s inspired by something. it’s understandable if someone likes something and wants to feel closer to it.

She's so problematic because she's always calling herself Pocahontas and saying she's the real I life Pocahontas on Instagram even tho she's far from it... Someone needs to teach her about these problematic things

????? Saying it's offensive to native Americans is litterry more offensive then wearing it because your litterly saying that all native Americans are the same like all two contents that is littry like saying all Asian nations are the same like for example "wearing kimonos are offensive to Asian culture" as if kimonos are all Asian culture when it's from one nation of people, native American isn't a culture or an ethinicity but a conteyx of the content of where precolumbian people are from and many don't wear feathers at all like take for instance the Navajo nation Hopi nation yavapai nation the Inuit and Northwest cost like really he dress are a very small part of one culture out of the entire american contanet and if you didn't know lot of native appropriate eathoyher and there's shit about it two for instance Navajos aproppriate Hopi kachina dolls and others do same thing like seriously learn more before you just say it affects an entire contenat of humans that are nothing the same in culture and range in diffeent ethnicity besidesif anything that's not the stereotypical lokota hedress so really it could be from any where and headdresses of all kinds are found gloably yes this one is from the American contanet but really who cares they shouldn't sell it if they don't want then to wear it like dumb as hell

Jin is My mom still doesn't mean that's all native like it's stupid to think that ,not all nations have those headresses besides it's not offense anyways and if they didn't want to have others wear it then they shoulent have sold it,Navajo people no such headrests exsist and we wouldn't even want those ugly feathers anyways Navajo people are native American yes but we are not the same and our clothing isn't ugly feathers headressed and we don't live in stupid tipis we sell jewelry for every one to wear and admire and ignorance like yours who call things like this hurts our bussniness and family's for us to survive as fist peoples so if you wanna call aproperation then please stop listing to kpop and stop watching Korean tv you obviously are apporiating Koreans listing to there music when you don't speak the langue and watching tv when you don't understand it

On one hand being a dark skin Korean celebrity, they are often pressured by their companies to associate themselves with darker skin cultures(generally black culture). But it’s not an excuse and it’s disappointing that she wore that hat, especially how she she spoken about her treatment being darker skin

    • @cherrylady5868

Leila Jones You don't even know if it's from your own culture or not. Soooooo many cultures use feathers and headbands like those for different reasons. Some don't even care if other people use them at all. So you can't claim cultural appropriation when you don't even know if it even belongs to any culture. This is why it's all retarded nonsense because you don't even know who that belongs to or if they even care that someone is using it. You should be the one who needs to get informed before going around critizing people.

      - xx Of course I am. Because 99% of people who claim "cultural appropriation" don't even know what "culture" it even belongs to. You can't claim appropriation when you don't belong to said culture because you don't know if those people mind or not. The only ones who scream cultural appropriation for everything are Americans, because it doesn't matter what race you are, if you're American you're ignorant and cultureless and don't know anything about the world. About 90% of all cultures in the world don't mind others using their accessories or clothes.

well being uneducated isnt a crime so i wouldnt belittle you other than educate you lmao its a cultural appropriation because the elements of a culture isnt used while honoring the source they came from. It is important to note that appreciation involves respect and value. she is using it as a fashion/and a costume. Native america's tradition to wear this headpiece and it is cultural appropriation to exploit it
