- ✨This week I decided to teach my boyfriend Westley how to speak in my language as I'm from Kosovo.
This was a fun activity to test whether my boyfriend knows any of my language, as one day we will be travelling to Kosovo together so that he can learn more about my culture. It would be handy for him to know some basic Shqip so that he is able to communicate with my family whilst we are over there :) Let's see how well he does and hopefully he will remember some of these basic words.
I hope you enjoy watching and maybe you will learn some new words in a different language too.

You look just like a friend's Albanian mother. The "sh" sound is so unique to the languages that way in Europe. Going north turning into "ch".

my girlfriend is also from kosovo and i find out her language quite interesting, she says she hates it and she has like forgotten 50% of it. but im personally quite a language liker, if thats a thing, and i asked her if she could show me some time a few words, she said she will so im just watching this video to avoid sounding dumb when she actually shows me😅

@BeeHumble22 , we I speak with albanians, it is often confusing, when they answer "jo". In albanian it is "no", in finnish "yes"

"Hajde" is a Turkish word and is used throughout the Balkans.👍
But in the Albanian language it is "eja"
eg “eja ketu”-come here or

pronouncing the letter "c" as "t" must be a dialect thing. Because in standard the letter "c" is pronounced as "ts"
