I had to lol at New Yorker’s excitement over Jollibee’s. Only bc it’s so popular here in CA. It’s pretty good though I must admit. Their peach mango pie is 👌 We also have bonchon here as well!

How about heading to Brooklyn's Redhook section to visit Defonte's Deli and Steven's Authentic key lime pie. That's only two that I can come up with maybe you can find two or three more cheap eats in that area?

I remember when Korean chicken craze started first decade of 2000s…. It was rivalry of BonChon and Kyochon but in US seem BonChon prevailed. The key to success if remember correctly was unique technique of double fried chicken. Reminds me one of my past lives when living with Korean girl and calling 1 hour in advance to Bayside location :) As for today I would also check out Mad for chicken. Lately I’ve also been happy with Texas Chicken and Burgers but only with chicken.

I have to say, we got a Bonchon in our area recently, and I was not super impressed (but may have also been because they were new - I'll give them one more shot). But I was very excited to then see you at our favorite KFC place, BBQ Chicken! Our closest one is about 45 minutes away, but worth the trip!
A few more places to try when we come at the end of March this year! Ready to enjoy our annual trip as we haven’t been able too in 2 years due to the big C but we are hopeful and vaccinated.

Jon, thanks for this video. I discovered a Jollibee not far from me, so I tried it as a result. Their chicken is very good (being from New Orleans, I still have a bias to Popeyes) but their Palabok Fiesta with extra sauce is an absolute game changer.

Was a bit disappointed when I went to Jolibee on 8th ave. Took me forever to finally go, and I was expecting amazing chicken but it was ok. Not as flavorful as I thought it was going to be. Now Bon Chon is amazing !! Gone to the one in Bayside a few times , and never disappointed. never heard of TKK but it looks great , have to try. Thank for the info..
Passed by Jollibee on 8th Ave million times but was scared to waste any money in there I hear alot about how good they chicken is but being black growing up on southern recipe traditions from my mom and grandma's I am kind of Alil bit biased ..
@@brandonkollore2079 Same , I would suggest trying it at least once, maybe it was just the one on 8th . Maybe the Woodside one is better, but it was ok . Just the way ppl hyped it i was expecting to be blown away. Krispy Krunchy Chicken is better LOL. Bon Chon is the truth tho

There are about 12 Korean fried chicken places here by me in LA, a Jollibee, and so many other fried chicken places. I’ve tried most of them but don’t eat them anymore for health reasons. Lol
They certainly aren't the healthiest.

Went to one of the first Jollibee's in South Florida. Spicey thigh was the best, but I wish they served white meat.
I could easily try each of them at least once. Now to find a hotel in between all of them.

They're opening jollibee's here in Orlando(if they haven't already) and definitely want to try. We also have Bonchon(which I've ate at) and B.B.Q Chicken too now. A lot of Asian fried chicken places opening thankfully.

Love flood blogs and i remember when the Korean chicken places started to pop -up in Flushing. I have never eaten any of the fried chicken from any of theses places. I just find eating fried chicken to be too damn messy. Crazy,I know, and I will eat most anything. The smell is divine but the mess leaves you like a swine.

I actually had Bonchon last week here in Queens. I tried the soy garlic boneless wings and they were delicious. I can see why Korean fried chicken is so popular, and I might have to check out Koreatown one day.
