    Glad you’re keeping with it! You’re Genesis will come back better and stronger after the build! If you love to drive the car hard, I would recommend going to a quality 5w40 oil instead. I run Motul 5w40 and track my car often and the engine is in great shape. Usually changing oil probably every 2000-2500 miles roughly because of that. It’s currently getting built now however to prepare for future plans.

      Thank you for the advice I support your Instagram you got going so I seen it’s getting built somewhere up in Canada I believe. But I’ll keep that in mind I run 5-30 and oil I’ll run the 40 and hope something like this doesn’t happen again.

    Sleeve the engine, don't go oversized pistons. You can make 500hp reliable. Tune & e85 can make more. Swap the trans. Comptetition Clutch & flywheel. Learn to drive stick. Trust me its more fun that way. Im building my gen atm. Going for 500-550..good luck.

    I blew mine about a month ago 🤗 lol. I went out with a bang though, I could already hear it knocking real bad, and some guy pulled up on me who was about it. So when the light hit green I full sent it, went 140 or however fast idk that’s the max on dash. And I blew the guy next to me away. Idk what car he was in it was dark af, and my windows are blacked out, but he got gapped by a blown 2.0T 😂

    you should never be shifting a gen any higher than 7500 rpm and you definitely shouldn't be trying to cruise at 8k

    this is sad to see... dont give up on it!! I drive a 젠쿱 3.8 Track thats tracked ALOT and I throw the car around extremaly aggressively and I am able to drive that same car home over 150km away the same day😅😅....in my experiance with this car, the 3.8 is a bit more reliable, especially the BK1 because the engine is MPI and not GDI, but I hope everything goes well with your car!! @shaw9.81📷

      Absolutely I drove the car hard as hell 😂. So I blame myself 100%. I did always get my oil change 2500 to 3k miles and kept up with maintenance. But yes I drove the car hard forsure

    What caused the motor to blow ?

    • @crbn_kid6116
      @crbn_kid6116  Год назад

      Honestly not sure. I had a boost leak and it was overboosing at one point, that’s the only thing I can point out. Oil was changed religiously with 5-30 Ams oil. I changed the oil a week before it happened.

      @@jonathanbrunache3848 I mean it has pros and cons forsure, it’s slow as hell and not the most high quality built car out there, a lot of people have had engine problems with this platform from what I’ve seen. The pros are the price point and the looks and you can do a lot aesthetically with it but There are so many better options for a sports coupe though. If I could go back I’d probably just keep mine FBO and do exterior mods I know its much more reliable that way. If you want decent power just buy something else.
