Nice one Matt...honest as ever. As a Leeds fan I'm not overly confident on auto places but if we bring a new keeper in, then we could do it. Hope Cov stay up, sure they will.
Pompey fan here. Reasonable list, our issue is our honking away form and the injuries we’ve had to our back line, to the point of having to start a 33 year old centre mid and our 5th choice centre back as our centre back partnership for most the season. Hopefully with the signing of Rob Atkinson and Connor Shaughnessy coming back this changes, but if we do stay up it’ll be down to our home form. Can’t get anything away from home at the moment
Last few games Tigers (Hull City) have beaten Blackburn away 0-1 drawn with Leeds + the Jan. Window I can't see us goin' down Matt + a great new Manager in Rubén Sellés👍🏻 Players comin' back from injury end of the Season👍🏻 Hope Sunderland get promoted also, there attack’s lookin’ impressive⚽️🔥
No thanks Sophie, Sheff Utd must have the worse "big match" record in English football, it's now 17 consecutive matches without a win, lost all our 4 play-off finals without even scoring a single goal, failed to win our last 11 consecutive FA cup semi finals, failed to win both league cup semi finals, that's why we have some fans who boycott Wembley and won't go anymore. Also agree as it stands Sheff Utd have no chance of top 2 due to horrendous injuries and weak squad depth. However the unknown factor is the January transfer window. We need a minimum of 4 players, probably 5 players capable of playing in the 1st 11. Tough ask but apparently we've already signed Ben Beriton-Diaz on loan and he was great for us last season, so it gives the club and fanbase a much needed boost.
I'm saying Sunderland finish 3rd and Leeds 4th. Sunderland v Sheffield Wednesday. Leeds v Middlesbrough. Sunderland v Leeds final. Leeds go up on penalties
Sheff Utd are back into winning ways with a great goal from Hamer and an absolute stunner from Brooks. If United can get injured players back and bring in the right players in the transfer window then you watch the mighty Blades GO !!! ⚔️UTB⚔️
I think the huge positives for Portsmouth are the games in hand for one. But most importantly, their defence has been stripped bare. So with a few injury returns and now with Atkinson and potentially Hayden. Maybe even other additions. The team looks like it could improve a lot. Bishop back and the team scoring many goals. I see Portsmouth climbing the table a bit, 15th/16th potentially. That’s if their defence can get its act together
Everything changes so fast. Had Oxford going down before Rowett came in and won 3 games on the spin. Now I think even mouthply argoogle could stay up since they sacked Shrek- Impossible to call really.
As a Sunderland fan I’m so glad you didn’t give us the kiss of death 😂 and predict us to make the automatic places! We have as much chance as any of the 4 teams up there with only 3 pts between us in 4th and Leeds in 1st… the way teams are turning up and getting results against Sheff Utd and Leeds has to be a worry for their fans; Sunderland have had a bit of a slump in their form which I think they’ve come out of and with key players we had earlier in the season coming back from injury- I feel we’ll push this right to the last game! So watch for those above us dropping pts and watch us leapfrog them 😂😂😂 Hawaythelads… all the pressure and expectation is on Leeds, Burnley and Sheff Utd
Hi Matt, great video as always. Your top 3 look right with a lot of consistency from those teams. Sunderland look good too though. Don't see Hull in the bottom 3 given the change in management and form. I think the bottom 3 will consist of Plymouth, and any two from Luton, Cardiff, Millwall, and Stoke. Pompey have not had a back 4 all season Atkinson coming in with Poole, Shaughnessy and Farrell due back from injury soon. We would have at least 5 more points plus games in hand
Hey matt boro fan here. That playoff lineup would be insane. I am starting to worry a bit about boro. Drawn a lot of games we should have won lately and picking up some more injuries. If we hang on to doak and LL I think we can finish top six. I like the rogue shout of wednesday. Bottom three I think is a lot harder to call. I think plymouth definitely but they might have a last ditch run. After that I actually think Derby and Luton. I too wouldnt like to see Luton go down. I think Hull and Pompey have enough.
Sunderland fan here. We have not actually been playing that well recently but are hanging on. If we can get back to our early season form I think we just might make the top 2, but we are just as likely to head in the opposite direction! It's all very tight
Boro fan here - you've arguably overperformed so far this season while Boro have underperformed but I wouldn't fancy our chances if we meet you in the playoffs
I feel like the media just want lampard to fail, but look at what he did with deby and nearly got back Premier League. And before tuchel came to chelsea, he helped progress to the last 16 that in Champion League that season that chelsea won it I think he got what it takes to be a good manager, but he need time to prove that
I would probably say: 1) Leeds United 2) Sheffield United 3) Burnley 4) Sunderland 5) Middlesbrough 6) West Bromwich Albion 7) Blackburn Rovers 8) Watford 9) Norwich City 10) Sheffield Wednesday 11) Bristol City 12) Queens Park Rangers 13) Coventry City 14) Swansea City 15) Preston North End 16) Millwall 17) Derby County 18) Oxford United 19) Luton Town 20) Stoke City 21) Portsmouth 22) Hull City 23) Cardiff City 24) Plymouth Argyle
QPR bad stsrt due to a combination of injury to our only attacking threats and our Footy Manager CEO bringing in players from all over Europe who need to get up to the speed of the championship. We still have injuries, but we have cover now with Edwards. The likes of Chair, Frey, Clarke-Salter and Colback slowly coming back. Its a squad that lacks depth but Marti makes up for some of that. He's that good a manager.
Nice predictions Matt. Nice to see that you've been bold especially with Sheffield Wednesday. Here are my predictions 1) Sunderland 2) Sheffield United 3) Leeds United 4) Burnley 5) Sheffield Wednesday 6) Blackburn 7) Middlesbrough 8) West Brom 9) Bristol City 10) Norwich 11) Preston 12) Watford 13) Coventry 14) Stoke 15) QPR 16) Swansea 17) Oxford 18) Millwall 19) Derby 20) Portsmouth 21) Cardiff 22) Luton 23) Plymouth 24) Hull As a Newcastle fan I like Sunderland, wouldn't surprise me to see a Tyne-Wier derby in the Premier League next season.

Hull made a massive mistake with their manager at start of season. Now I think they have probably sorted that, and they have some real grit in the team. Think they will stay up.
Thanks for the thought Matt, at the moment out defence is terrible, but if we could sort that out, than who knows, it would be unbelievable if wednesday could finish in the top 6.
If Wednesday can strengthen the defence in the window and keep hold of Shay Charles we might make the play offs but we're conceding too many goals and looks miles off it against decent sides. I think Blackburn and Borough will take the final two play offs spots. This may be our best chance for a while though as I don't think we'll be able to keep hold of Rohl much further than the next December sacking season if we don't go up.
I love your optimism for the Owls we do seem to have a never say it's over mentality. The issue we have is the defence, lack of it. We also need to find a way to regain Ugbos confidence. Unfortunately don't think Rohl will get the backing. We know the recent history with Chansiri.
QPR had a perfect storm of bedding in a lot of new players - most without Championship experience. We had a number of injuries to some of our best players - playmaker Chair, CD Clarke Salter, reserve CD Morrison, Striker Frey, AM Dembele, DCM Colback, plus CD Fox - that's out of a thin squad. We've since got Chair, Fox, Colback and Frey back. Morgan, young CM has been a revelation. Varane has been brilliant in DCM, as has Field. Also Frey and young striker Kolli have been scoring goals. Incidentally Norwich defence were the worst I've seen at LR. Great up front but woeful at the back.
Up the Owls Matt 🦉 loving that prediction. 👌🏻 4900 of us on the way to the CBS this Saturday for the FA cup tie. Let's hope for a good entertaining game. (5th meeting in two seasons as you know 😂)
I think your ordering of the top 4 is probably about right. Although if Melsier is Leeds' keeper for the season then who knows what'll happen. My team Sunderland are just too thread bare as a squad before all the injuries, so it would be unrealistic to maintain the charge. To be in the conversation in January for top 2 is massive turnaround from how we ended last season, so I'm just enjoying the ride. Hull coming back to gain a point against Leeds does show some character. I was at the Stadium of Light at the weekend for the game against Portsmouth and once Portsmouth woke up after the early goal they showed something. Then they gave Sunderland a scare very late on, so they may have enough to stay up.
Hi there like your predictions, especially Sheffield Wednesday, I would the owls to get into top six, it would be a remarkable season under Danny Ruhl, but Mr chansiri needs to back Danny this January window, but can't see him doing it 🦉🦉
Concerning top 4 it will mostly depends on direct matches I would say...I would say Sheffield United and Sunderland for the auto, Burnley and Leeds have the same problem over confidence which can prove costly
Personally, I think Watford will scrape playoffs and Hull going down is very bald considering how well Selles did at Reading and 8 points in 7 games is a respectable start and the likes of Omur and Kamara have genuine quality but fair enough
Matt SB love your predictions and video. Here’s mine. 1. Leeds United 2 Sheff Utd 3. Burnley 4. Sunderland 5. Middlesbrough 6. West Brom 22. Hull 23. Cardiff 24. Plymouth Also happen to notice that Portsmouth have Hull on final day/game. Which could decide it.,
Don't think your too far off tbh. I have Burnley Leeds auto , your bottom 3 are also very likely. You have my team spot on 💛💚 and as for the rest ,put all the names in a pot , throw it up and see who lands where lol . The championship is the most difficult league to predict All the best Matt 👍
First four is realistic. Sunderland can rightfully hope to push for the automatics. Wednesday at 6th IS a bold shout. Hull, Luton and Plymouth may be the three to go down. Many things changed since last too years. Burnley is not the same without Tella, Norwich and Coventry are not the same without Sara and O'Hare and Luton is not the same without Barclay.
I agree with you that Eustace has been manager of the season so far and Blackburn the biggest over-performers so far. Don't worry Matt, I understand why you think Leeds could bottle it! We'd be better off with a ghost in goal than Meslier.
I took a screenshot of your predictions on 12th August where you had Luton third and Coventry fourth. On that basis I wouldn’t follow you into the bookies. But to be fair, you also predicted Leeds first, Burnley second and Plymouth Argyle for the drop, so you win some you lose some. I’ve taken a screenshot of these predictions too and will compare both sets of predictions to the end of season results. I’m hoping for a finish in the top half for Coventry, and I hope Stoke do well to vindicate our faith in Robins. PUSB.
I think Coventry will finish much higher, given time, because they will have learnt from the experience at Norwich. Sunderland is a team I'm excited about this season and they got the potential. Leeds keeps dropping points when you expect them to win, so a Top 2 could be Sunderland and Burnley with Leeds 3rd. One would like to see Oxford survive and they are about at the same level as Ipswich are in the Premiership right now, albeit Ipswich are better.
As a Wednesday fan I’d love you to be right but I can’t see it. We’re incredibly exciting to watch at the moment but far too open at the back. We need to score 3 or 4 to win a game because we’ll definitely concede a couple.
Cov fan here. If we do not have a big January window we will be in danger of relegation. We have injuries to key players. Our defence is poor. Our midfield is weak. Up front Simms has lost his confidence. Wright is injured and Mason Clarke is injured. I am seriously concerned we have no leaders. Hull will buy their way out of trouble in January. Plymouth will go but I think Luton are too good to go down. I cannot predict bottom 3 as it is so close. Leeds and Burnley will get automatic promotion. Sheff Utd are strong. Middlesborough if they keep loans will have a chance in play offs.
Burnley need a striker to be able finish in the top 2. That said, we’re 2nd WITHOUT a striker! Leeds and Sunderland come to Turf Moor in the next few weeks. Those matches will determine things.
Personally i will wait till end of Jan as a Baggies supporter not sure of our next manager my pick was Mark Robins . I think though Matt you will not be far off , might all change manager sackings ? money pumped into transfers ? WBA sign Pep 😀😀
My Predictions: 1. Leeds United (C, P) 2. Burnley (P) 3. Sheffield United (O, P) 4. Sunderland 5. Middlesbrough 6. West Bromwich Albion 7. Norwich City 8. Blackburn Rovers 9. Bristol City 10. Swansea City 11. Sheffield Wednesday 12. Watford 13. Coventry City 14. Millwall 15. Preston North End 16. Queens Park Rangers 17. Derby County 18. Stoke City 19. Portsmouth 20. Hull City 21. Oxford United 22. Cardiff City (R) 23. Luton Town (R) 24. Plymouth Argyle (R)
I think Rooney has done too much damage. I don’t think we’ll stay up no matter who we bring in, but Theres still a chance and i’d obviously rather go down with a fight than a whimper. So the next appointment has to be spot on
Everyone writing my Sunderland off but we keep plugging along we never expected to be in the title race but we’re well in with a chance couple signings and will shoot past the rest if they drop points

Boro fan get back down in 5th ya not in the convo 🤣
Boro 2nd, 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
All jokes aside I think it's going to be leeds and Burnley
Up the Owls Matt 🦉 loving that prediction. 👌🏻 4900 of us on the way to the CBS this Saturday for the FA cup tie. Let's hope for a good entertaining game. (5th meeting in two seasons as you know 😂)
We Sunderland have still got a lot of key players to come back from injury Mundle Watson Browne + if we strength in January we can deffo get top 2
Eieieio up the football here we go when we win promotion this is what we sing we are Portsmouth we are Portsmouth moushinio is our king
Preston and Bristol City every season hovering about 10th to 12th both the steadies championship clubs in the division.
As a wednesday fan we are playing a lot better now but our defence is terrible
Hi there like your predictions, especially Sheffield Wednesday, I would the owls to get into top six, it would be a remarkable season under Danny Ruhl, but Mr chansiri needs to back Danny this January window, but can't see him doing it 🦉🦉
Good predictions matt
Concerning top 4 it will mostly depends on direct matches I would say...I would say Sheffield United and Sunderland for the auto, Burnley and Leeds have the same problem over confidence which can prove costly
Personally, I think Watford will scrape playoffs and Hull going down is very bald considering how well Selles did at Reading and 8 points in 7 games is a respectable start and the likes of Omur and Kamara have genuine quality but fair enough
Those playoffs semi’s would be absolutely insane!!!!!!
I’ve got a horrible feeling SAFC v Boro is almost inevitable…..
As an Oxford fan I have no idea on who will drop. I agree it will be all on the last day with about five clubs in a position to stay up or go down.
1. Sheffield Utd
2. Leeds
3. Burnley
4. Sunderland
5. Boro
6. Bristol City
7. Blackburn
8. Sheffield Wednesday
9. West Brom
10. Norwich
11. Watford
12. Swansea
13. Preston
14. Millwall
15. Coventry
16. Derby
17. QPR
18. Stoke
19. Cardiff
20. Oxford
21. Portsmouth
22. Luton
23. Hull
24. Plymouth
Cheer~~~a contest for the position of champion in a sport, often involving a series of games or matches.😊
Matt SB love your predictions and video.
Here’s mine.
1. Leeds United
2 Sheff Utd
3. Burnley
4. Sunderland
5. Middlesbrough
6. West Brom
22. Hull
23. Cardiff
24. Plymouth
Also happen to notice that Portsmouth have Hull on final day/game. Which could decide it.,
I've had a quid on QPR to win the playoffs @ 500/1, they are doing what Cov do, slow start, then a great finish
Don't think your too far off tbh. I have Burnley Leeds auto , your bottom 3 are also very likely. You have my team spot on 💛💚 and as for the rest ,put all the names in a pot , throw it up and see who lands where lol . The championship is the most difficult league to predict
All the best Matt 👍
HULL ARE STAYING UP WITH SELLES UTT 🐯🐯
Are you going to do a stream
100% similar position to last Season👍🏻
Luton back to back relegations would be wild
Yep, last team to do it was Sunderland 16/17
1st Leeds
2nd sundland
3rd Burnley
4th Sheffield United
5th Middlesbrough
6th Blackburn
Everyone who’s predicting Hull to go down are going to look silly
Oh Matt if Wednesday could pull that off, then beat Sheffield United in the playoffs. I’d give my wife and right leg away for that.
hahaha
If we play you in the playoffs I won’t sleep for 2 weeks
@@watansworld3617 slim chance but whole of Sheffield would be a nervous wreck.
Championship table predictions
1 Leeds United
2 Burnley
3 Sunderland
4 Sheffield United
5 Middlesbrough
6 West Brom
7 Sheffield Wednesday
8 Norwich City
9 Bristol City
10 Blackburn Rovers
11 Watford
12 Swansea City
13 Coventry City
14 Preston
15 QPR
16 Millwall
17 Oxford United
18 Portsmouth
19 Stoke City
20 Hull City
21 Derby County
22 Luton Town
23 Cardiff City
24 Plymouth Argyle
Matt whatever happens we Hull won't go down apart from that your predictions are pretty good
Burnley need a striker to be able finish in the top 2. That said, we’re 2nd WITHOUT a striker!
Leeds and Sunderland come to Turf Moor in the next few weeks. Those matches will determine things.
I think Norwich will get playoffs if we can keep Sargent fit for the rest of the season
I would place Oxford heigher slightly
Personally i will wait till end of Jan as a Baggies supporter not sure of our next manager my pick was Mark Robins . I think though Matt you will not be far off , might all change manager sackings ? money pumped into transfers ? WBA sign Pep 😀😀
Sunderland have a lot of players to come back!
Our carrot to stay up is a derby with our neighbours next season 🙂
My Predictions:
1. Leeds United (C, P)
2. Burnley (P)
3. Sheffield United (O, P)
4. Sunderland
5. Middlesbrough
6. West Bromwich Albion
7. Norwich City
8. Blackburn Rovers
9. Bristol City
10. Swansea City
11. Sheffield Wednesday
12. Watford
13. Coventry City
14. Millwall
15. Preston North End
16. Queens Park Rangers
17. Derby County
18. Stoke City
19. Portsmouth
20. Hull City
21. Oxford United
22. Cardiff City (R)
23. Luton Town (R)
24. Plymouth Argyle (R)
Blades will be champions mate 😊
last game of season is pompey vs hull could be very interesting👀
I think Rooney has done too much damage. I don’t think we’ll stay up no matter who we bring in, but Theres still a chance and i’d obviously rather go down with a fight than a whimper. So the next appointment has to be spot on
Everyone writing my Sunderland off but we keep plugging along we never expected to be in the title race but we’re well in with a chance couple signings and will shoot past the rest if they drop points
