Interesting timing on your video.... yesterday marks the day my 13yr old finally had a breakthrough on her FH. She’s been learning the ATP style FH since age 9. Great power, decent TS but inconsistent on depth control. This bc of the racquet head is “unsettled” during contact. So we started looking at her finish and figured that, she’d muscle her forearm after contact, just the way you describe it. Went down the Coach Macci in FL and worked with him on this. First thing he pointed out was “after you make contact, hold the finish (kinda like a salute position with the racquet head). By working on this, all of the sudden she’s no longer “slapping” or forcing the ball but has a nice crisp finish. Great depth (10-15” from baseline) and massive spin. Interesting feedback from my daughter where her first comment was “it’s so easy on my body....and it feels effortless”. The happiest camper I have been for the past 4 years bc we finally had a breakthrough. With all the privates and group sessions I am definitely past 30k. Insane!
The moral of the story: pay attention to little details and focus on the basics - like the finish. As you mentioned, the rest will fall in its place.
Your comment starting at 2:20 is 110% spot on! Guys! Pay attention to coach Jeff here....! (Unless if you want to spend big bucks trying to figure it out on your own lol)

    Yes Jeff
    It all makes sense
There are over 30 reasons to catch your racquet on your forehand. Hardly anybody knows 1/4 of them.

I videotaped myself and noticed I do indeed have a weak follow through on my forehand. Thanks for the tip.
