I am definitely more interested in the B series Arc cards than anything else coming out, the A770 isn't the ideal card but in the current driver state it's an impressive first showing.
How much of a difference in FPS it made in 1440p with RT and without? My A770 arrives today and iam very excited but also wanna know how much it improved. Do you think there is still the possibility for more performance in Cyberpunk or do you think the drivers reached their highest form with this Patch?
You are going to struggle running RT at 1440p; of course you can use a lower quality XeSS setting to try and make up for it, but you have to try it yourself to see what you like better. I'd be surprised if we get another significant performance bump here. Have fun with that A770, it's a pretty neat card :)
@@reto Yeah, I think so as well. Having the higher clocked CPU with my PBO + curve optimizer set, Does keep the temps down and clock speeds higher boosted. Happy gaming! Peace!
This looks good. Can you make a video on a proper and safe oc guide on arc. That would be lot helpful cause the oc tool of intel is very hard to understand. Also how is ur gpu power that high shouldnt it be capped at 228?
Bro for the price of 330 the card exceeds the expectation. people can expect a 330 card to run path tracing and giving 60 fps and compare it to 2000 dollar 4090.
@@reto yeaa I build my first gaming pc with 13600k and arc a770 16 gb version and my first game is gta 5 I am getting around 100 to 110 fps on ultra settings at 1440p, I am really happy with my build🤟🤟🤟
@@Custom916 yeah, I've used the A770 as my primary (Windows-gaming) card for a while and it mostly works well. Unforunately, full feature support for video encoding isn't there yet in OBS Linux so it's not ready for daily use in my workstation.
Mmmh weird tho, the arc 770 is supposed to be neck and neck with the 3060, and even better with ray tracing in some games, so i expected it to handle the Overdrive at 1080p XeSS balanced at 30fps, u should try the mod that reduces the ray bounce to 1 and it helps a lot for performance, i think it might reach a stable 30 fps with xess set to performance mode
great work and glad to see the uplift, notice that RED engine games tended to drag their heels more on Arc that they should have. Here's hoping CDPR fixes Witcher 3 Enhanced too.
XeSS works on Intel, Nvidia and AMD GPUs, it just as lower overhead on Intel because of hardware optimizations. I have tested it a bit in the past; I got improvements on a 1080 Ti, but on weaker cards I actually saw performance regressions.
Thanks for the hard work. Improvements yet again with patches.
I'm super happy; this one turned out great.

yes, it will be interesting to see how that develops
@@reto When is that rumored to launch?

Very impressive performance from the ARC A770 LE 16. I just hope my Ryzen 7 5800X doesn't hold it back. Thanks for the informative review Reto!
The 5800X is a great pairing :)

228W is the GPU power, but the TBP (total board power) can be more than that because it will include fans and VRAM. :)
This is absolute madness from a card that you can readily buy on the shelf for less than the price of a switch, and $1000 less than its competitors.
:)
I love Alchemist.
oi reto next live when
maybe today?
I just started using the 750 a few days ago, I absoletely love it! Especially for the price point

Is it better than Rx 6650 XT or not...

Maybe I'll give that a shot at an opportune moment (around phantom liberty release); I've learned about that ray bounce mod recently in a DF video.
2.5 years later Arc owners can finally play the way it's meant to be played
I'd have to test the RTX 3060 again, but I think the A770 beats it now.
@@reto Would be great to see the result
My girlfriend doesn't want to give it back; she still needs it for Hogwarts Legacy
It hasn't even been a year it's been like 8 months
Intel ARC's high end is only 6 months old. It hasn't even grown teeth yet
this is rly great :O nice booost..GJ CD Projekt
yeap they did a good job here :)

that one may be trickier because they just glued a 1 to DX11
I have a amd GPU and I prefer to use the xess over fsr , looks way sharper
:O
