- EVERY MAN SHOULD KNOW THIS ❗️ Smart methods for repairing PLASTIC , Welcome to my channel where I will help you restore and fix any problems with plastic items! My methods and lifehacks will allow you to save time and money without throwing away broken things.
In my first video I will show you how to easily fix a plastic hole using plastic clamps and a lighter. The molten clamp perfectly solders the broken hole, providing strength and reliability.
In the second lifehack I will tell you how to fix any crack in plastic. With a few staples from a stapler and a soldering iron, you can create a strong structure and return the item to its original functionality.
And don't worry if your glasses are broken - I have a solution for that problem too! I'll show you how to make them strong and stable using staples and a soldering iron.
Subscribe to my channel to stay up to date with all my new videos where I will share even more useful tips and tricks for working with plastic. Together we will make your life easier and more economical!
My only suggestion is to have good ventilation when melting plastic.
YES!
wAiT, WhAT?
Seriously!
Make sure you know what plastics you are dealing with. Nylon and several others emit noxious fumes if you are just above the lighter. Also a cheap propane torch on low setting makes this so much faster and easier. Jeffrey Z. in SC
And safer. Running a lighter upside down for an extended time risks explosion
Nice to see someone repairing stuff and not throwing it away. Thanks
Dude they're probably broke it for the video lol
You can also cut the zip ties in tiny bits then dip them in acetone overnight… it will form a paste which you can use to fix anything.
How long does it take to dry out, and how do you store it?
Have a link to such action.
Stay away from acetone if you can. It's not worth the mess
@@andrew348 ok, thanks!
One guy is telling me to use acetone and another guy is telling me to NOT use acetone.
The duality of man ladies and gentleman, the duality of man😒
Okay, you don't want to talk on camera... can you please list these ingredients, when using glues and powders, AND plastics? Some plastics will NOT melt together at all, and will later just break off. Some glues won't bond certain plastics, and just stay sticky, and gloopy!
Looked like ductape a torch or whatever you would smoke with and idk.... a knife?... the plastic I'm not commenting on because they all melt just in different forms even the shit that blackens and hardens can be spread but with a hot knife ... and I'm talking about weak and strong plastics that are common, zip ties are extremely basic
Superglue and salt
Zip ties, styrofoam, table salt.
(Most important of all the soldering iron)
Most use baking soda and superglue?
The powder looks like it was sodium bicarbonate, which is an activator for super glue, just not as fast as the sprays.
OH! I'm impressed with your way of fixing broken plastic. thanks for share
Bloody Brilliant!!!! Thank you, mate!!!
wouuuuuuuuuuuuuuu mannnnnnnnnn ... WTF ... so easy .... muchas gracias ... god bless you!!
See??? I knew there had to be a way to fix plastic stuff, but my husband just wants to throw whatever it is away. Now I know how to save things!! Thanks so much!! 🤗
Hey! You don't belong in here this wasn't for your eyes! 😳
What good is the transcript if you don't vocalize/identify what parts ingredients you use?
Agreed, but he only question would be the salt? at the end. I know sodium bicarbonate and superglue make a very hard plastic, but that looked like salt or sugar.
I watch in an other clip that mixing superglue with cement gives great result.
Super glue plus baking soda on the remote control.
so was that superglue and styrofoam used to fix the leakage?
Exactly 😂🤦🏻♂️
I'll give you 100% props on this 1.
Love your ideas! Thx
Cool tips. Thanks.
Metal screen door screen works really well to reinforce the plastic repair.
Like metal lath, or chicken wire.
Very clever 👍🏻
@@taradactyl5690Or a drywall repair patch.
I have a cracked harbor freight 5 gallon bucket... was using it to haul firewood in it until it totally fell apart, think I can fix it now.... Thanks.
Merci, video intéressante.
Or you can use baking soda and super glue and then sand it down to make it smooth. It will be stronger than the rest of the plastic. just be very careful not to get this on your skin… when super glue and baking soda react it gets really really hot… 300+°
This is a great idea except for the lighters. They get too hot so quickly. You can run the zip ties through a hot glue gun to melt them.
This is how early 3D prints conceptually came about
What in front of the glue stick?
Thanks!
A good idea my brother, keep it up
Sub! This is incredibly useful and I wish there were more tips like this.
very nice idea
Handy Women too 😘👍👧👩🙋♀
You can use a PERMANENT BLACK marker to cover the burn marks !!!🖊🖋
Yeah, because my husband is the "throw it away" type, and I keep wanting to see if it can be fixed. 😅 I'm still trying to see if an old enamel roasting pan can be fixed (it has a small rusted out hole) because I love it and had it passed down from my mom (she bought it in the early 1970s from a thrift store, so it is _old_ ).
That's cool to know!
Douglas is one sharp cookie 😂
Thank u very much 👍 xo ❤
Instead of an open flame, use the end of a hot glue gun. They also make great holes in plastic without risk of causing cracks!
LOL.. You had it fixed when you applied the Duck tape... Thanks.
Did you use a specific type of acid on the Styrofoam to sort of dissolve it?
Nothing like a gnarled pair of glasses to wear around. 😂 Def good in a pinch though.
Might be a good lesson to not break them, depending on the situation
Greatness .
I think so too
Awesome!!
Amazing!!
Glad to ! Thank you for your kind review 🤗
You should have drilled holes at the end of each crack. When you weld plastic like that it will stop the crack from spreading if there's pressure put onto that point after it's fixed.
and you are damn right my friend! Thank you for this comment, I will continue to do so
My boy dedicated, he went and broke all those things just to fix them 💪 W mans
Who knew you could fix a battery cover with super glue and cocaine?
Ahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Good
Good vid. Was it superglue melting the styro ? What was the powder for the remote ?
Powder is baking soda
Excellent !! I’ve got no handymen skills. Im a 62 year old woman. I can actually ACHIEVE this
Good idea if you don't have a plastic welder. Always wear a respirator mask. The fumes are really strong even if you do this outside. The remote trick is nice as glue is tough to make a connection with plastic.
Thank you dear friend for your experiences! And you're right! All my viewers need to be careful
Is that acetone in the drip bottle used in the last couple of repairs?
I thought it was superglue. But I dont know.
It's superglue. Example : ruclips.net/video/G-nNnX_Pvhc/видео.html
Tacky
Love the music tho👍🏾
What is the liquid solvent you used and what is the white powder in the TV remote repair?
Ca glue and baking soda.
Super glue and baking soda the next step for the handyman fix it list. Duct tape, WD-40 and now baking soda and super glue.
@@Openreality
Don't forget tie wire and zip ties lol
nice 👍👍👍
what did you add to the foam to make it melt? thank you
regular super glue that you can buy at any store
Probably acetone
What's in the bottle with the red cap you used to repair the tupperware bowl?
🔥🔥👍🏽
Fantástico! Gracias!
¡¡¡Gracias por esta reseña!!!
Well played sir! Was that salt or sugar at the end?
It was soda my friend
Nice,but I did this in that late 1970s ~ ~ ~
0:38 Never use a folding blade knife with its blade deflecting.
The blade breaks and flies towards the worker. If it hits your face, you may lose your eyesight.
If you do, use a flexible metal spatula.
A note on zip ties. Some are made of nylon which won't work with the rigid PP plastic many boxes and car panels are made of. You need the good quality ones which are PP. So, don't buy them from a dollar store, but from a quality hardware or electronics store to ensure you have the better quality PP ones.
This is a technique of an older generation. I would know, I worked with someone old enough to fit the bill. Even then, I'm not good at applying such knowledge. I admire that you do that
Edit: they got more out there little by little, but good work on those last ones
What liquid did you put drops on the Styrofoam for the Tupperware bowl?
Superglue 502
What did you put on the Styrofoam?
The music is for when you are high as a kite from the melted plastic fumes 😉
Would recommend a small putty knife if one doesn’t have a bent flat end for a soldering gun… rather than the snappable exacto blade like that.
But would recommend the soldering gun, way less hassle and time consuming. Well worth the price of a basic on.
Okay, thanks for the advice my friend 🤗
Said before..don’t inhale those deadly toxic fumes
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
okပါ တယ် ❤
Was that salt? And what was poured on the styrofoam?
What is the liquid you used on the plastic? And was the white granular substance salt? Great ideas by the way!
Yeah, I was wondering what it was also.
from what other comments say, it seems to be superglue and baking soda, though some say table salt works equally well. Apparently both create a chemical reaction that really activates the superglue. Wear gloves because it could damage your skin
@@m00njaguar I thought it might have been superglue. Thanks for the tips
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

The part you didn’t show is how bad the cough is after inhaling noxious plastic fumes. Yummy!!
another use for a zip tie AMAZING! most useful invention ever 😂

What liquid melted the white Styrofoam into clear plastic?
This is regular acetone
Good ideas but what were the liquid and the powder you used?
Thanks
Thank you for your comment! Each video has voice acting, and you can also turn on subtitles so you have time to write down everything you need for a life hack! We used baking soda and acetone!
This video has no voice axting. Un 3:50 I don't know what is that You use to melt
Can you please tell me what the white powder is in the last repair? Thanks.
Baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
Using that segmented razor on there made me imagine it breaking off while hot and getting you in your damn eye. 😂
Superglue purchased from any shop.

At the 3:34 mark are you using water or glue?
Some good, but I wouldn‘t hold my breath for 50% of the fixes (e.g. the elctrical toolbox handle fix).
