- Tobin Heath and Yael Averbuch didn't become two of the most skilled soccer players in the United States by not thinking outside the box. (Remember their Trick Shot Battle at the Algarve Cup several years back?) Without a net in Portugal to play a little soccer tennis, the two midfielders got creative.

Tobin Heath is the cutest freaking thing I have ever seen in my life!!!! I'm serious, I would marry her and I've never even met her. She's beautiful, talented, funny, great sense of humor, smart. Every single good characteristic a woman can possess, she has it. I could go on for hours what other positive characteristics she possesses. But you know my favorite thing about her, she does not care what people think about her, I love that. Most girls always are so self conscious, she's confident and doesn't care, again, I love that!!!! #17 for life!! Go the Tobs!!! Her personality, oh my goodness, I loooooooooove it!!!! Can't get enough of it lol too cute. Not to mention the million dollar smile. I'm going to meet her one of these days, I'll go to a game or something, I'lll even pay to put real grass on the Portland Thorns soccer field so they don't have to pay on artificial turf.

It's great seeing how close this team is. I think Pia deserves so much credit for understanding that teams that get along well off the field usually play much better together on the field. This team has th ability to surpass anything the USWNT has done before. I can't wait for 2015.

@playsoccerallday11, Saurbrunn shows up in the video first, when Toby and Yael are heading the ball in the hotel room (and she's filling out a crossword puzzle), and Barnie shows up later, first while sunbathing, then sitting in a lounging chair in the small pool.

anyone that is still wondering who that is they use as the net during the pool part, it's Barnhart. You can tell cause if you go back to before that when they come out of the elevator and you look at Nicole's flip-flops and shorts, they are the same as the person on the pool chair.
There should be a contest, any kind and the winner plays soccer tennis with Tobin. That'd be cool. I'd fly all the way from where I am (and I live in another country) just to play soccer tennis with her!
Hahah..."Pinoe's the net," exactly what I was thinking too. I've had a soccer ball at my feet for a thousand hours a year for four years now and I can't reliably move a ball the way they do.

When I played soccer-tennis the security guard chased us off. Five EMPTY tennis courts, and they chased us off because nobody is allowed on the court unless they're playing tennis. Even though we were far more likely to break a window or lamp-fixture off the court and NOBODY was using any of the courts!
